"Oh man! They're in serious trouble! Look at all those enemy ships—they've got them completely surrounded!"
Tobey's Spider-Man winced, watching the chaos unfold. He might not know the first thing about piloting spaceships, but even he could tell Star-Lord and his team were in deep trouble.
"I really hope they can make it out of this," Gwen murmured, her voice tight with worry.
Tony shot a pointed look at Rocket. "You still think this was worth it? You're about to get your friends killed."
For once, Rocket didn't have a smartass comeback ready. The weight of Tony's words hit him like a punch to the gut. He'd always brushed off his thieving as no big deal—just business as usual. But now? Now Tony had spelled it out in terms he couldn't ignore. He was about to watch Star-Lord and the others die because of his stubborn pride.
Hell, he'd even fought Quill for control during their escape, damaging the Milano in the process. This whole mess was on him. If something happened to his team...
[Rocket watched the dense stream of bullets coming at them, constantly hitting their front windshield, and then realized that they had made a big mistake.]
[From the outside, the entire Milano was completely covered by the enemy's crossfire, and a large amount of debris fell from the ship. It was obvious that it would not last long before exploding.]
[Just when Star-Lord was in dire straits, two blue-white lights suddenly flashed in the universe, attacking Sovereign's spaceship from the left and right.]
[In just a moment, the Sovereign spaceships surrounding Star-Lord exploded violently. After the explosion, all the spaceships that were densely packed just now were destroyed.]
[Inside the combat platform, Ayesha looked at the operators who were suddenly all stuck in red screens, feeling a little overwhelmed.]
[The fleet commander immediately understood something, "Someone destroyed all our spaceships!"]
["What?!! Who?!!" She squinted her eyes and stared at the fleet commander.]
[Although Sovereign's spaceships were destroyed, the Milano was already shaky, with the internal circuits of the spaceship exposed and sparks emitting from time to time.]
[Gamora yells: "One more unit!"]
[At this time, Rocket saw a white oval object flying towards them and asked in confusion: "What is that?"]
[Star-Lord glared at him, "Who cares! The jump point is right there! Go! Go! Go!"]
[Rocket looked at the UFO that passed by them and was surprised to find that there was a person standing on it, holding two blue and white energy ropes in his hands.]
[The other party also waved to them.]
[Rocket's eyes widened in disbelief, "Is that a person?"]
[Star-Lord didn't care about his words. He would settle the score with him after escaping from Sovereign Planet!]
[He controlled the spacecraft to pass through the jump point and arrived at the Berhert planet. As soon as he entered the atmosphere, the violent friction with the air caused a large amount of fire to appear on the surface of the spacecraft.]
[Drax was still hanging behind the spaceship at this time. Gamora accidentally glanced at the screen and then discovered him.]
["Oh my God! Is he still out there?"]
[Drax screamed, and parts from the Milano kept flying past him.]
[The seat fixed inside the spacecraft was also sucked out by this powerful suction force, and then fell on Drax.]
[He let out a "ugh" sound, and the steel cable column fixed to the wall began to deform and then fell off.]
[At this critical moment, Gamora rushed over and grabbed the steel cable column, but her strength was obviously insufficient, and she was pulled out with it in a short while.]
[Fortunately, she grabbed a broken steel bar in time and did not fly out.]
["Ahhhh!!!" Gamora grabbed the steel bar with one hand and the steel cable column with the other. The intense tearing sensation made her let out a heart-wrenching sound.]
[Star-Lord noticed the two people hanging in the air from the screen, and turned around to find that only little Groot was left in Gamora's seat, leisurely eating popcorn.]
[Star-Lord turned around and found a large forest in front of him, and they were falling towards this forest.]
["Groot! Fasten your seat belts! Get ready for a forced landing!"]
[The spaceship rushed into the woods, and the trees blocking the way were cut in half one after another. The sound of collisions continued to ring out.]
[Drax was held back and kept hitting the tree trunk. Fortunately, he had thick skin and flesh, otherwise his waist would have been broken by so many hits.]
[Gamora is still struggling, clinging to the steel bars tightly.]
[The spacecraft touched the ground at an extremely fast speed, and immediately a large amount of soil was scooped up by the spacecraft, and then it began to dolphin jump.]
[Fortunately, there were many trees, which quickly slowed down the speed of the spacecraft. The dolphins stopped jumping and began to rub against the ground frantically.]
[After crashing into all the trees along the way, the spaceship finally stopped in an open space, but it also completely lost power, and the right wing collapsed with a sound that made people's teeth ache.]
[This spaceship that has been with Star-Lord for many years is completely destroyed.]
[Drax, who survived the catastrophe, lay on the ground and laughed out loud, "That was great! Yes!" He had no idea that he had just walked through the gates of hell.]
[Not far from him, Gamora covered her shoulder and limped along. When she heard the big fool's words, she silently rolled her eyes.]
"Whoa! That was incredible! But who was that guy?" Tony leaned forward, studying the mysterious figure intently. "How can anyone just stand around in open space like that with no protective gear?"
Something about the man seemed familiar, but Tony couldn't quite place him. "Jarvis, run a comparison on that image."
"How should I know?" Rocket shrugged, though his voice lacked its usual bite. "Universe is full of freaks with weird powers. Could be anyone."
Rocket guided the Milano to hover above the motel where Star-Lord and the others had landed. They were currently searching the woods behind the building for Ego's planted avatar.
Finding a secluded spot, Rocket engaged the ship's stealth mode and set them down. Star-Lord, having received the signal, emerged from the treeline and fixed Rocket with a long, hard stare, hands planted firmly on his hips.
"What?" Rocket spread his arms defensively, though his usual swagger felt forced. "We're all still breathing, aren't we?"
Even as the words left his mouth, Rocket knew how hollow they sounded. His pride made it nearly impossible to admit he'd screwed up, but the guilt was eating at him.
Star-Lord just shook his head, exhaustion and disappointment clear in his expression. "Come on. We still need to find that flower."
Meanwhile, back on Sovereign, Ayesha's golden features were twisted with fury as she recognized the oval ship from the footage. That was the vessel that had torn through her fleet like it was made of paper, destroying dozens of her precious ships in mere moments.
She would never forget that distinctive shape. If she hadn't been watching the battle from a safe distance—a decision born of her own arrogance rather than tactical wisdom—she would have been destroyed along with her remote-controlled fleet.
Ayesha's hands clenched into fists. This humiliation would not stand. Whoever had dared to interfere with the Sovereign would pay dearly for their insolence.
