Chapter 428 - Not Everyone Has to Confront You Head-on

Rope didn't even have to think about it to realize who did this.

To mimic Pokémon's destruction, there was only one person besides Rope who could do it.

Katsuhisa. the man who had mastered several Origins.

Rope raised his head and looked at Al.

At that moment, Al had already sat back in his seat, leisurely sipping his tea.

Not caring at all about those powers that belonged to him being taken to jeopardize this world.

One must know that the situation at hand, once it was not handled well, then it would develop into a war in the end.

And if this kind of thing really happened, then even if Rope was able to convince the Legendary Pokémon and League executives to sit back down on the negotiation table again, it would be impossible for the battles of the people underneath to stop. And the public opinion mixed with hatred would make it difficult for all the executives to ride the tiger.

There are times when peace is not something you can get just because you want it. The trees want peace, but the wind won't stop.

Rope looked at the person in front of him, countless thoughts were flying in his mind, and quite a lot of speculations arose. Just now is not the time to verify.

Rope served Mewtwo up from the ground, then said to Hoopa on the side, "Hoopa. open the door, let's go to Lily of the Valley Island first."

Hoopa nodded, and then opened the door directly in front of the main door of the Sinnoh League.

Rope, on the other hand, looked at Al again.

"Thousand-Armed God, I hope the atmosphere will be slightly better the next time we see each other."

Al, on the other hand, pulled out a bag of tea from somewhere and threw it into Whitley's hand.

He smiles at Rope and says, "Good luck saving the world, Savior. If there's anything you really can't do, don't worry too much, come here and I'll try to give you ideas."

"After all, this world is my old home."

Rope ignored the comment and asked Whitley, who had brought over the tea with him, to put it away, it was something that had been agreed upon before, and taking it wasn't a big deal. Then the group simply left the place walking through Hoopa's space door to the other side.

As Al watched, Hoopa's aura gradually shrunk and finally disappeared.

This room also returned to its original calm condition.

Simple to simple decorations, simple to simple furnishings.

This was not at all like the normal decoration of a village home. Not to mention the fact that there was a genuine god living here.

Seriously, the gods that had no divine power and were merely legends were placed in the midst of radiant, majestic and grandiose shrines. And the real, living gods were living in a simple thatched hut.

It was rather like living in seclusion between heaven and earth.

Al was obviously enjoying this ease and comfort, so after he took a sip of tea, he pulled out a turquoise bamboo flute and gently played, a wonderful but small tune that didn't belong to this world.

"You still seem to be annoying people. And the people you're pissing off seem to be quite powerful."

A rather bemused voice came from all sides of the house.

Al wasn't too concerned at the time and smiled, "An existing half-step Supreme, only not immediately entering the realm of the Supreme in order to hide his abilities. The other one is even a future star. Judging from the life force in his body, it should have been bestowed by my detachment, and some of it is a gain from the company."

"The lifespan is long even to a certain extent, long enough for him to get bored with this mundane world."

"Year's math is good, even for me. One who has seen finer sights is not likely to stay at the foot of the mountain in peace."

Hut was silent, and Al was not speaking.

It was clear to them that such a thing was almost a certainty. But what was even less in doubt was that, if Rope's current thoughts were anything to go by, I'm afraid it would have to be a long time before he could enter the Void on his own accord, without being forced to do so by an outside force.

But it doesn't matter, which one of us is not a long-lived kind of ah, a few hundred years is nothing, a few thousand years is nothing, just close a door, a sitting thing.

Rope simply didn't have the heart to put things on this kind of hundreds or thousands of years later. Right now, for him, as a long-lived species the time that he lacked the least was instead the thing that he lacked the most.

"What the hell is going on!"

On the screen, Lance was on the verge of breaking down, realizing that it was Lumiose City! The most important place in all of Kalos! The face of Kalos League!

And while Kalos League had no problem being the weakest of the top tier, it was still a League! And it's not a straw man like Galar and Alola.

It's a standard League configuration.

For the center of such a League to be besieged by a wave of Pokémon, it wasn't just a mistake by the Kalos region, it was a slap in the face of the entire League.

"The peace talks were about to have a breakthrough! How could something like this happen, and what the hell is going on with the situation!"

Lance was of course anxious, as he was the main person in charge of the He Talks. At that time, he and Mewtwo were discussing things when Mewtwo suddenly received a message that a human had raided the Pokémon camp.

And when Lance sent a telegram to question them, the people over there said that a Pokémon had raided their camp and caused considerable casualties, which forced them to fight back.

As screwed up as things were, they had little choice left. Even if they had to stop the conflict the hard way, as the matter itself was not in the interest of either of them right now.

It had to be said that Rope had chosen this point in time pretty well now.

The conflict between the human and Pokémon sides at this point in time had already had its beginnings, but it wasn't yet in a situation where they had to start a big battle to vent their emotions.

So now let them use a not-so-dramatic conflict to release the displeasure in both sides' hearts, and then sign a treaty that was suitable enough to regulate both sides' behaviors and actions.

Then the risk of war could be minimized.

The timing and some of the practices that Rope had chosen were actually quite ingenious. The initiative of the war had been held by Rope's people. It's like a big war between two sides, but the leaders of both sides are under the hand of one person as a little brother, then Rope wants to mediate the war becomes very simple. As long as the situation doesn't get out of hand. Peace stays in his hands.

With this method, the results are quick, the noise is small, and there's no need to make some bitter feuds. The only drawback was that it depended on how much control the leaders of the two sides had over their men.

Rope felt that this should never have been a hindrance in the plan in the first place.

Mewtwo is pretty much the natural leader for the Pokémon. Smart, powerful, and happy to step up to that responsibility.

And on League's side, after how many years of domination, it was only natural that nothing unexpected should happen.

But accidents still happened.

"There are Pokémon actively attacking outpost camps in various places. The situation we all know is that our people also started to fight back. But it didn't achieve much, it seems that a large number of wild Pokémon emerged and then formed a beast tide."

Diantha explained calmly.

"We've been tricked. That's normal enough, but who tricked both of us?"

Steven rubbed his chin and frowned in thought. The logical person to show up here right now would be Wallace, but Wallace went out as a firefighter. And the first champion to rush to Kalos.

So now Steven was running the show at Hoenn.

And by comparison, Steven's status dictates that he has a natural advantage when it comes to calling on resources in the Hoenn. All the resources of Devon Corp and the Hoenn League were at his disposal. It was clearly more suitable to preside over the big picture here.

Wallace, on the other hand, was acting as a firefighter in Rope's arrangement. The precaution was what was happening now.

"The main thing now is still to hurry up and force the Pokémon back. It's really not necessarily a good thing if we let them surround Lumiose City."

Alder shook his head bringing to the table the issue that everyone should be discussing first right now.

As an old man, his experience and exposure told him that if he couldn't deal with the immediate problem in time, everything would only get worse if he let things go.

"Wallace has gone for backup."

Steven spoke up immediately.

"Blue and Red are already on their way as well."

Lance immediately followed. Blue and Red were also the ones who went around putting out the fires back when the Rope program was in place.

"Diantha where are you guys now, are there enough defenses inside Lumiose City?"

Cynthia spoke with a grave expression on her face. At the time when Rope had given them these things, they had each and every one of them had promised with all their hearts, but now that they had dropped the ball and something had gone terribly wrong, wouldn't it be a sign that they, the champions, were bad at what they did if they allowed things to go on?

Diantha didn't laugh, but her tone was still more relaxed.

"Don't worry guys, the situation is stable for now. There are two Gym Leaders in Lumiose City, and although Clemont is still a small child, he is still very good in terms of strength. Although Clemont is still a child, his strength is still very good, and Meyer's strength is also clear to all of you, so the two of them can still hold up. I'm also in Lumiose City now. The city's guard force can still hold out."

"Several other Elite Four and Gym Leaders have also been waiting outside Lumiose City, and the situation is under control for the time being."

Diantha's news was also a relief to everyone, this was finally the rare piece of good news in a sea of bad news.

"Then we now need to keep the situation as stable as possible and guard against that guy doing it again."

Professor Kukui spoke seriously after a few moments of contemplation.

Everyone nodded in unison as well.

Professor Kukui was right. This guy was terrifying, and being able to bring things to this extent in a single day was an exaggeration in itself. So guarding against him was no easy task in itself.

"Just leave him to me."

Just as everyone was thinking of a solution with a headache, Rope suddenly opened the door to the meeting room of the Divine Olympics League and appeared from Cynthia's piece of screen.

The moment they saw him, everyone was unanimously relieved.

They knew, of course, that they'd be under a lot less pressure if Rope was over here.

But they knew even more that what Rope was doing right now was much more important than the pressure they had to face right now. So none of them informed Rope of the news.

The emergency communication was made by Mew, and no sooner had Mew made the call than Mewtwo was at Rope's side, though it was a close call that nearly cost her her little life is all.

Cynthia couldn't help but give Rope a hug. The two of them had been separated for a while now, and everyone knew the weight of the task on each other, so they all had a good understanding that no one was bothering anyone.

Until these issues were resolved, not to mention that they were ready to get engaged, even if they were already married, they would have to put the meeting aside. Since they were determined to take on this responsibility, all these so-called sacrifices were normal. Every preference they enjoy and every cheer they receive is in exchange for their own efforts and sacrifices.

No one would object to such preferential treatment or even some privileges. What people objected to were those who obviously did nothing for everyone, or did very little to desperately pursue their own privileges.

Rope looked to hug Cynthia just as tightly. for you to say he didn't want Cynthia is pure bullshit.

You have to know that at that time and Marianne head-on confrontation, Rope can only think of Cynthia in order to let himself as far as possible immune to Marianne's kind of exaggerated charm.

And the side effect of doing so was that he was incredibly homesick for Cynthia, and if he hadn't temporarily excepted so many things, he'd have high and low had to spend some time by Cynthia's side to relieve the pain of this lovesickness.

"I say the two of you, show love, abuse the dog also don't in front of so many single dog's face okay..."

Diantha spoke somewhat helplessly.

It wasn't the first day that she had craved for her own best friend's boyfriend, and Cynthia also knew it in her heart.

When she saw such a scene, she was definitely the one who felt the hardest in her heart.

But the others didn't have much of a reaction.

Lance's wife is basically settled, and he himself has already recognized Tsubaki. The two belonged to the old men in the family who had been betrothed since they were a little young.

Alder old man, Steven what have not seen, he is not interested in relationships, but wherever a little bit of hints his father can help him find a girl blind date, and want to be with him on a blind date with a girl probably can be lined up from the headquarters of the company to the tower of the sky.

Professor Kukui, not to mention, is married. The only one of all the champions so far to actually have a family.

Leon, for his part, has his own childhood friend, two youngsters.

Diantha is the only one who doesn't see much of an in-law at the moment. Overall, it looks like it's probably one big widow.

Rope and Cynthia hugged for a little while longer, and eventually parted with a fondness. After all, for them, while they missed each other, they hadn't forgotten about business.

However, except for Diantha who was a bit resentful, everyone else had a pretty normal expression, even Lance and Alder were looking at the two with quite a bit of flirtation.

The emperor is not bad at starving soldiers yet. Rope and Cynthia are not easy for the two of them and all of them know it very well in their hearts.

And Rope sat down with a smile. At this time he definitely wanted to be as relaxed as possible. When he was relaxed, everyone could be a little more relaxed. After all, things hadn't reached the point of no return. It was the same as before.

In a certain sense, Rope was the one who held the switch for the war. That's why he had the best sense of how difficult the situation was. Of course, the Pokémon's side knew something about it as well, so they came to Rope's aid in the first place.

"Don't worry, I'll deal with that guy, and for the Pokémon wave in Lumiose City, I've asked Mewtwo to bring the X Y and Z gods from Kalos along. Mediating and explaining things clearly shouldn't be too much of a problem."

When Rope said this, everyone was also relieved, everyone knew very well that the trickiest thing actually wasn't the so-called Pokémon Tide, the Pokémon Tide had only just appeared in one Lumiose City now, and it wasn't as if there weren't any more serious ones as well. So they were more worried that the little connection and friendship that had been established between humans and the Pokémon hierarchy would just be twisted off, and that was what they were most afraid of.

Everyone knew in their hearts how hard-won peace was. Especially this kind of long-lasting peace that didn't cost much.

The cruelty of war lies in the fact that, except for those who have grown up grinding their teeth and sucking in the midst of war, everyone is unwilling to go through a second war.

Even those who have benefited greatly from war do not want to go through it again.

When death became the norm and human lives became numbers, then the world itself had fallen into madness.

"That Rope guy...has something to do with the operation you were working on earlier yes?"

Lance asked with some curiosity. Seriously, this was the first time they had come into contact with the person Rope was usually dealing with.

The moment the other party made this gesture, they knew that this person was definitely not simple, and could even be said to be very powerful.

When Rope saw that the crowd was curious, even Cynthia also revealed a curious gaze, Rope also spoke directly, originally there was nothing to hide at this point.

"Emm, his name is Katsuhisa, an old monster who has lived for an unknown number of years, absorbed the original power of Arceus, not a trainer, closer to being a Legendary Pokémon."

Originally, if such a statement was made, Cynthia and the others should actually be indifferent, after all, it's not like this kind of person has ever appeared before, everyone basically relies on the Pokémon around them to enhance their strength, as for something like command, there is an upper limit to learning. More than that, it definitely still relies on talent.

It was something that had to be obeyed, and it really wasn't something that could be practiced. Humans had limits.

But they couldn't help that they had a similar type of person right in front of them.

It wasn't like it was the first time Rope had given them a shock.

"Why don't you just say it's almost another you."

Lance spoke somewhat helplessly.

It wasn't that he found it troublesome for Rope to speak, but he mainly felt outrageous at the thought of his opponent also having a pervert just like Rope. It was good that the opponent was not a trainer.

Rope's Pokémon were just too strong.

Rope's Pokémon are just too strong. When Rope's Pokémon dragged down your Pokémon, it became a one-on-one battle between trainer and trainer, wasn't it?

Who can beat Rope...

Your Pokémon may not even be able to beat Rope, let alone the trainer himself...

Of course, Rope didn't care what people thought. katsuhisa they could certainly handle, every champion was strong. katsuhisa wasn't invincible either.

Without the help of a powerful enough Pokémon, Katsuhisa could only be considered a tricky foe, not much of a formidable opponent. What's more, Katsuhisa's power is still borrowed.

There was no comparison to Rope at all.

But it was clear that Katsuhisa was also aware of this matter.

He knew that most likely he wouldn't be able to defeat Rope. Even if he used all of his origin and its power, he wouldn't necessarily be able to do that.

But he knew better...

"I don't have to go head-to-head with you, Rope."

On top of a tall building in Lumiose City, Katsuhisa, wrapped in a black robe, looked out at the tide of Pokémon outside the city with a cold smile on his face.

"You ruined my plans, so all I have to do is come and ruin yours as well."

"But the two of us are different. You'll definitely step into the trap I've set."

The sneer on Katsuhisa's face grew more and more unrestrained.

"I don't have a choice..." said Rope, shaking his head somewhat helplessly, "As you all know, we have a lot at stake this time, so if we allow him to mess with us, then it will only become more and more troublesome for us, with little benefit. But if I sabotage his plans, he will do nothing more than continue to wait. Although I don't know how long he has left to live, the odds are that we can't afford to wear him out."

Rope spread his hands and said helplessly.

It didn't matter if he or even Cynthia waited a few more decades. But the others, they really didn't know what they'd become after a few decades. It wasn't like everyone could still be Master Mustard or Opal when they got old; the former of these two had maintained the strength of at least one official Elite Four. And the other is also a stable dojo master.

Not everyone had that kind of ability, Granny Agatha, Grandma Bertha, and Professor Oak still seemed like a lot of old and powerful people, but in reality there were very few Pokémon and trainers left who hadn't been defeated by dark wounds and time at this grade level.

Rope looked at these people in front of him. To put it politely, it was because of the existence of these people that he had decided to guard this world, and if these people were really gone then he might not be able to find his anchor even if he continued to stay in this world.

When it really came to that, taking Cynthia with him to the Void might be the better choice.

"Ten thousand years is too long, it's only a matter of time."

Rope said with a serious look on his face, "His primary objective is definitely me, because only by taking me out first can he gather what he wants without worry."

"If you take the initiative to look for him, you'll definitely bring into his rhythm now."

Leon didn't talk about something or the other, and simply and dryly reminded Rope.

Everyone understood this and looked at Rope with some concern. Cynthia even grabbed Rope's hand nervously.

Rope patted Cynthia's hand and said with a smile.

"Don't worry, he doesn't want to go head to head with me. But I want to let him know that at the end of the day, other than going head-to-head, he has no other way to deal with me."
