Chapter 1
PRIDE
The First city was a wonder, a vast stretch of land. Some of it was materials, other parts immaterial, it was populated with angels, spirits and of course God himself who stayed in the most prominent palace centred in the beautiful city, it glowed so bright and true, it hurt even the angels to stare at.
Michael and Lucifer glided above the marvellous city, both angels were remarkable in their own unique ways. Michael was dressed in a bronze armour; it was inscribed with tiny symbols in vital parts of the armour—for protection.
His brown wings were spread out in the wind, all six of them, three on each side, in between the feathers were gold plates for decoration. His curly brown hair flowed as they flew.
Soaring beside him, Lucifer was laughing at his own jokes, he wore a white toga with brown sandals, he had icy-white hair, and dark brows, and unlike Michael's brown wings; Lucifer owned a white set. The entire way, he had been making really stale jokes that only he found funny.
Michael signalled at Lucifer to stop his jest.
"Come on Michael, it's all jokes, you have to lighten up" Lucifer said, finally ending his bad joke marathon.
"I'm funny, I joke very well" Michael said in his war chant tone.
"Surely brother, 'You joke very well'." Lucifer chuckled.
They were so distracted by their bickering, they slammed into another one of their sibling; Abaddon.
They stopped to check if he was unharmed, their wings flapping with elegance to keep them afloat.
Abaddon threw a fit but left, Lucifer knew Abaddon didn't prolong his rant because of Michael's presence, Most of the angels fear Michael, that included Abaddon the destroyer.
"We're late, The meeting has begun," Michael said, his face dead serious—more than usual. "We have to get there now."
"Alright," Lucifer said as he spread his wings.
Both angels nodded at the other, their wings turned to pure light, the air burned and crackled with energy.
In a flash both angels were gone.

The throne room was the most impressive place in heaven. The pillars that held the structure seemed to weave steadily between states of matter, The ceiling was decorated with precious stones to create a mosaic with an inscription "Alpha and Omega", Lucifer's gaze landed on the marble floor which reflected everything perfectly.
The throne room was comprised of tiered seats surrounding a silver throne etched with constellations. In those tiered seats sat the elders– Heaven's oldest residents, and on the throne sat God in all his glory, He could only be described as a humanoid mass of light, the atmosphere around Him shimmered and distorted, merely staring at his Father gave Lucifer a severe headache.
Lucifer took his seat with the other archangel behind God's throne.
The heavenly court was in session.
An elder rose, and adjusted his robe with smugness before he spoke.
"Eternal king, I have an issue to raise." The elder gave a slight bow."With deep regret we wish to inform you that the Woman Lilith that you gave Man wasn't compatible , We ask for her removal, we ask that she be replaced and destroyed."
God stirred, the throne room shuddered as he spoke.
[SHE MAY BE REPLACED BUT HER PURPOSE IS YET TO BE FULFILLED]
The elder seemed confused by the second part but gave another slight bow and took his seat.
Lucifer rolled his eyes at the elder who just spoke, unfortunately the elder did not notice. Lucifer's attention was caught by Gabriel– Lucifer's younger sibling and an archangel, He seemed in distress, Lucifer couldn't see him clearly he was at the opposite side of the court but it looked like he was crying and he was whispering into the ear of an Elder; Ma'at, the elder of neutrality, Lucifer stood abruptly ready to fly across to understand what the problem was, but he was interrupted by Ma'at rising.
"Everlasting one" Ma'at the neutral began. "News has arrived regarding Metatron."
Lucifer last saw Metatron a few decades ago before he was sent on a mission outside of heaven.
" He arrived at the Gates of heaven some moments ago, Dead." Ma'at said bitterly.
The court went silent.
Lucifer could swear he saw God's light dim just for a second. Lucifer was never really close to metatron but he was his brother, who stayed with him when their mother was banished from heaven, and Metatron was the one who held his hand when he lit his first sun.
"Father! Bring him back. You are God. Please" Lucifer's cries rang in the quiet court.
[HELEL . HIS TIME HAS COME. IT ALL PART OF MY PLAN]
Those words pierced Lucifer's heart, he never expected he would feel this level of emotional ever again.
"That's illogical, because its his time? What sought of mad talk is that?"
Lucifer turned to his siblings.
"Metatron is dead, we have to revive him."
They remained silent with pained expression on their faces. Lucifer now understand that no one in heaven will rival God's word.
A memory resurfaced of his mother her kind voice and graceful movement, and most importantly her beautiful face, littered with stars. They sat at the very edge of one of the structure in the outskirts of the First city, overlooking everything that Lucifer will forever know.
Her words were ringing in Lucifer's mind.
'You are almost as perfect as Him, Some could say you are God.'
Lucifer now understood what he had to do. He was confident in his perfection, after all his mother, a goddess said so. He has what it takes to become God.
Lucifer knew exactly what he has to do.
Kill God.
