Rhydian stayed still, buried deep inside her, their bodies slick with heat and breathless satisfaction.
His arms were still around her waist, holding her as if letting go would snap the moment in half. Her back was damp with sweat, her body soft and pliant against him, trembling in the aftershock of pleasure.

There was no need.

He turned her around gently.
Her purple eyes met his, soft, drowsy, and more beautiful than anything he'd ever known. Her lips were kiss-swollen, her cheeks flushed, and her hair a wild, glorious mess. She looked ruined in the best way. His way.
