Before they could even knock on the door, that charming voice rang out.
"Is this Veyne? Come in."
Veyne wasn't shy either. He was certain this meeting wasn't just between a student and a teacher!
As expected, as soon as they entered, a chair came hurtling towards them. Veyne grabbed it with his right hand and flung it away.
Across from them, Elysia also used the same method to grab the chair, but Veyne had already reached her.
At this point, Elysia had many ways to fight back, but she was wearing a tight skirt, making it impossible to kick. She showed no intention of fighting back, letting Veyne hold her neck, her charming smile still on her face, and she looked at him with unyielding composure.
The two stared at each other for a moment, and Veyne slowly released his hand.
"The man that day was one of yours."
"Don't you, Veyne, know how to be gentle with women?"
Elysia smiled, but she was still a little surprised. That blow had been quite powerful; any ordinary teacher would have been finished.
"Hmph, just tell me what you have to say."
"The Yalang Military Academy has always been open to talented people. I think Veyne has great potential. With my recommendation, you can be admitted together with Selene."
Elysia evaded the question and dropped a trump card.
Admission to Yalang was absolutely shocking news, and given Selene's status, she had to have achieved remarkable results to qualify.
"Thank you, but no thanks!"
Veyne's refusal was even more blunt, leaving Elysia speechless.
"If you're alright, I'll be leaving first."
"Haha, Veyne, is Kael your good friend?"
Veyne's body suddenly froze, and a terrifying murderous aura instantly enveloped Elysia. Even Elysia, despite her strength, froze, and even felt the urge to draw her gun.
Veyne slowly turned around, a terrifying red light in his eyes.
"You, remember, if you hurt anyone close to me, there will be a heavy price to pay!"
With that, he punched the wall and turned away.
When the door closed, the murderous aura enveloping Elysia dissipated. As if she had just experienced a major battle, Elysia breathed a sigh of relief, staring at the fist mark on the wall in horror.
This guy must be enrolled in the Yalang Military Academy. He's even stronger than I imagined. It's been a long time since I've seen such a brilliant talent!
After the joy faded, she suddenly remembered what had just happened... He had ignored her so completely, and even threatened a beautiful woman like her with violence. It had been a long time since I'd encountered such a "little strongman"!
We'll settle the score once we get to Yalang. It won't be easy to escape her clutches!
Time flies for those who focus. Veyne and Kael had never felt so nostalgic for their three years of high school, but the exams were already here.
Veyne and Kael said goodbye to each other and rushed into the exam room, determined to die. There weren't many things that could leave Veyne with lingering fears, but the exam was one of them.
Looking at the teacher invigilating at the podium, Veyne saw he was more lethal than the monsters of the Devil's Forest.
While there was video surveillance, it couldn't replace the teacher's role. After all, answering some questions and handling emergencies still required human intervention, not to mention the plethora of high-tech cheating methods available today. He had to be vigilant.
Time ticked by, and Veyne completed the exam with a fighting spirit. He practiced what he knew and even guessed what he didn't. He only regretted not having learned enough when he needed it.
When it came to practical theory, he was definitely an avid student. The problem was, the exam didn't even test that. Veyne had been working very hard lately, but while he could absorb things he enjoyed quickly, he couldn't remember boring stuff.
But no matter what, the exam was over. How he'd done was up to God.
The two brothers in distress met, both looking devastated.
"How are you? Are you okay?"
Veyne shook his head. It wasn't great, but Kael seemed pretty good. Veyne had always considered Kael a genius when it came to memory.
Of course, Kael never used his IQ for that. He'd much rather memorize women's measurements or pick up girls from the Thousand and One Nights.
Kael suddenly grinned.
"Haha, I'm such a genius! These questions aren't that hard, are they? Looks like Yalang's definitely in. Hehe, don't worry, don't look so gloomy. With your ability, even if you don't go to military school, you can still join the army!"
Veyne rolled her eyes.
"Is that a consolation?"
"Haha, life depends on our brothers. Once the exams are over, that's it. We've been exhausted these past few days. Let's go relax."
"No thanks. Your way of relaxing is different from mine. See you tomorrow. God bless me!"
"Haha, God bless us, we'll definitely pass!"
In reality, Veyne hadn't expected too much from the score. He'd tried his best, and if he didn't, there was nothing he could do. More importantly, he had the skills now, and he would eventually achieve his goal.
Despite the intense preparations for the exam, he hadn't given up on basic training. Now that the exams were over, Veyne needed a good workout to loosen up his muscles.
Now he was considered wealthy. Of course, it wouldn't be worth much to the truly wealthy, but it was more than enough for Veyne.
He bought a membership at a Class A fitness center, a staggering $50,000. It was a real pain, but there was no other way. Ordinary gyms didn't have military-style facilities.
Any Class A fitness center would have a large gravity room capable of up to ten times the gravity.
Of course, ten times was just the upper limit; no one would use it. Furthermore, these gravity rooms had automatic alarms that would shut down if the gravity exceeded the user's warning level, so there was no danger.
Veyne was an anomaly. The greatest value of such a fitness center wasn't the gravity room; that was just a gimmick.
The price was high because all the amenities were top-notch, but Veyne wasn't interested in those. He valued the gravity room, which no one used.
Now, he could finally enjoy it.
Only the wealthy or the rich could visit such a place, and people like Veyne were undoubtedly mistaken for wealthy young men. Such places often offered the chance to pick up beautiful women.
Veyne ignored the flirtatious glance from the receptionist. He grabbed his card and rushed into the gravity room. Just as he'd expected, it was empty.
Fitness centers purchase gravity machines simply to demonstrate that they have everything and are considered high-end.
But those who actually spend so much money here don't actually use the gravity machines. They simply come to work out to lose weight, stay in shape, or relieve stress.
