Leaning, tilting, and blocking with either his palms or forearms, Rivock kept his eyes fixed on all the beasts.

It was as if he had eyes on every angle of his position, because whenever a powerful strike was headed for the back of his neck or skull, he was able to swiftly block or even avoid it before it connected.

It almost looked like he had another set of eyes behind him.

But that wasn't true.

He simply possessed an exceptionally strong perception.

Even so, that alone couldn't save him, as he was still getting boxed into the same spot.

The beasts, as if developing some kind of hive mind… or shared intelligence, didn't let him leave their circle.

He was kept there deliberately while they made sure to deal continuous damage.

With how minimal the injuries on his body were, if someone looked at him at that moment, they would have assumed the beasts were too weak or barely causing harm at all.
