Thunder Drake pointed out what he meant when he said they had nothing to lose by saying, "The worst that can happen is that we lose the war, in which case, the Red and Blue Fire sect manages to secure a foothold in our Five Veins Region. We will only get to absorb what's left of the Purple Flower sect, so we won't lose out even if we lose the war."
"On the other hand, if we win the war, we will successfully push the Red and Fire sect away and even carve them up. If we win, we might be able to get their cultivation technique and have another means, like our armament, to combine the power of life force and internal energy."
"So no matter how this war works out, we will gain something. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't try to get the best outcome. And that best outcome is to send the Red and Blue Fire sect running. Then destroying them and devouring them for good."
