Logan's voice was calm but laced with restraint. "You dared go alone because you had confidence. But did it ever occur to you—if Ellis's assistant dared to invite you, he had confidence too?"
Selina instinctively looked up.
"A man who clearly had bad intentions invited you to a park with no security cameras. You know what he was after. And you went alone, without bringing a single person with you… Mrs. Reid, should I be impressed by your bravery?"
Selina swallowed the retort she was about to make.
Logan was genuinely worried about her.
"You finally found an opening—and you couldn't bring me with you?"
"I had everything under control. I—mmph—"
Before she could finish, Logan grabbed her chin, parted her lips, and kissed her hard—completely claiming her.
