Scott saw there was no use denying it and admitted crisply, "It was my idea."
He waved the waiter away; the man fled in a panic. Soon the room was left with only Logan, Scott, and Ethan, who'd rushed over.
"What the hell!?" Ethan demanded. "Where's Selina? She's the main guest tonight—she can't miss this. Where did you take her?"
Scott explained calmly, "Ethan, I don't see what tonight has to do with Selina. I didn't want her ruining the event or disappointing Riley. Don't worry—I'm just having her rest for a night. I'll send her back safe and sound tomorrow morning."
Before Logan could respond, Scott kept talking. "There was everything she needed, staff to wait on her. Logan, letting Selina into Reid Group was a mistake. You can see for yourself—Riley can offer you so much more."
As soon as the words left his mouth, Logan abruptly kicked Scott hard in the knee!
Scott staggered back several steps. "Logan!"
