Riley looked at Selina and couldn't resist showing off.
"Selina, you might not know this, but I'm very close with the SL Chairman."
Someone in the audience nodded.
"They've known each other for over twenty years—they're childhood friends. The entire Nelson Family knows the Chairman is pursuing Riley. Selina's question is ridiculous."
Selina raised an eyebrow.
"Oh really? Funny, I've never heard the SL Chairman's special someone was you."
Madam Nelson jumped in.
"Selina, don't project your own pathetic standards onto others. Just because no one likes you doesn't mean no one likes Riley."
Riley sighed theatrically.
"If you don't believe me, you can ask Taylor, our VP."
Eric didn't hesitate.
"Yes, I've personally seen the Chairman dining with Miss Nelson. She's a regular at SL."
He gave Selina a scornful glance.
