Barry looks around, trying to find a TV, when suddenly, the large digital billboard that's installed across the mall turns on, showing the local news channel. On it is a man wearing a while mask that only has one red colored lense as an eyehole, and a red and white full body suit.
"I don't usually do this. Most of the time, I only need a single bullet to end my victims, and no one is wiser about my presence, but you managed to survive me twice.
So, Flash, you have only one option. You stand in front of the mall and take my bullet, or everyone inside the mall dies," the masked man says.
And instantly, the crowd inside the mall start to panic even more. They, too, heard the masked man's words, and it couldn't be much clearer. It was the cost of many lives for the price of one.
If this Flash doesn't sacrifice himself, thousands will die. They want nothing more than this Flash to sacrifice himself, but how can they trust a stranger to sacrifice himself? Most people inside the mall believe this is their last moment.
Barry saw the man on the big screen and began contemplating what he should do.
"And don't try to find me. I am far enough to see you coming. The moment you try to get close to me is the moment everyone dies," the man threatens, showing a remote in his hand with a bright red trigger on it.
"Guys, I plan to remove the bomb from the mall. I will run in and carry it out before throwing it up in the sky." Barry relays his plan to his team.
"How do you plan to get in?" Cisco asks.
"I will just run in with enough speed. I should be able to shatter the glass," Barry says.
"That won't do. Glass shattering at such speed will turn into deadly projectiles; they could easily puncture or even kill the innocent civilians trapped inside," Caitlin says.
"Then how do I get in?" Barry asks.
He, for once, doesn't even consider the masked man's offer because there is no way he is going to die; he is immortal. So when the bullet is unable to kill him, the masked man might just trigger the bomb, killing thousands. He is not going to take such a risk.
"Barry, you need to phase through the walls." Suddenly, Dr. Wells speaks up.
'That's it, Phasing.' Barry realizes that he can run through the walls of the mall without breaking or shattering them, and he is more than fast enough to do it.
He just doesn't know how to do it yet because he has never practiced it, Also, it would be suspicious of him to learn to phase before Dr. Wells teaches it to him.
"Phasing?" Barry asks, as if he is completely clueless about it.
"If you vibrate fast enough, you should be able to slip your molecules through the space between two foreign molecules, allowing you to run through anyone without stopping or you breaking something in the process," Dr. Wells explains.
"Is that even possible?" Cisco asks.
"It is, Barry. I believe in you. You can do this." Dr. Wells says.
"Okay, here goes nothing." Barry takes a deep breath out of habit and enters flash time. He doesn't need to connect to the speed force, he is the speed force. He is a living god, this should be as easy as breathing.
With this mindset, Barry runs down the mall and begins circling it at super speed. He feels his entire being charged up by his own power, lighting coursing through his veins. he speeds up, breaking the sound barrier.
Barry feels his body enter a state of excitement; every molecule in his body starts to vibrate at incredible speed, and with full confidence in himself, he turns and makes the run directly into the thick glass wall of the mall.

The police feel helpless because of their current situation. They don't know how they are going to save the people locked inside the mall.
And after seeing the video play, they become more desperate. Some of them who still don't believe the Flash exists start praying for his arrival because, without the Flash, thousands of people who are trapped inside will die.
Joe is in the front, standing with a worried look on his face. Unlike the other officers, he doesn't want Barry to come. Yes, it's selfish, but he doesn't want his adopted son to sacrifice himself.
Suddenly, there is a loud boom that catches everyone's attention, and before their eyes, the police officers and everyone gathered in front of the mall see a long streak of white lightning suddenly surround the ball.
Everyone present can't believe their eyes; they see the storm of lighting moving in circles around the mall.
"He is real..." Eddie murmurs as he finally sees it with his own eyes. Even though he cannot see the Flash as he is moving too fast, the lightning trail is still present for them to witness.
His girlfriend has been telling him about this Flash for weeks now, and he never believed her, and now he has no choice but to believe.
And then suddenly, the storm of lightning disappears without a trace.
