Barry arrives at the gated community and is shocked by the size of the fire. Multiple buildings are on fire, and hundreds of people seem to be trapped inside.
Barry doesn't hesitate for a second before running in. Within seconds, he relocates everyone out of the building; some people were already engulfed in flames, but Barry was fast enough to evacuate them before the fire could cause any serious damage, leaving only first-degree burns at worst.
Once everyone has been relocated, Barry goes back in and spins his arms extremely fast to suck the air out of the building and completely stop the fire. He does this multiple times as multiple buildings were burning.
This didn't look like an accident because accidents typically don't cause fire to spread from one building to another. This was arson done on purpose.
As Barry looks around, trying to see if there is anything he missed. He suddenly feels his back getting warm and then hot. This happens under a picosecond, too fast for heat to transfer, making the Flash enter Flash Time.
Lightning flashes in his eyes, and he takes a step forward before turning to look at his attacker.
It's Firestorm who is frozen in place, his head and hands engulfed in fire.
Barry is surprised seeing Ronnie, but now that he thinks about it, just like Woodward, Ronnie too entered the sewers, and now he is here keeping Barry away from Dr. Wells.
It's all part of Dr. Wells' plan.
Barry watches the fire blast slowly inching closer to him, but with Barry in Flash Time, nothing moves faster than him.
He steps past the fire blast and walks up to Ronnie. This time, he is not going to let this man escape. Barry balls his fist and rocks Ronnie with a speed punch through his blazing head, and knocks him out cold.
The world returns to normal, and Ronnie is sent flying into a wall and crashing through it, knocked out cold.
'I hope there is nothing more,' Barry thinks when he suddenly gets an emergency alert in his ear.
"Barry, we need you hear!" Caitlin's voice comes through.
Barry doesn't waste a second when he hears her voice. He grabs Ronnie, who is still out cold, and runs him back to S.T.A.R. Labs, places him inside one of the confinement cells, and runs down to immediately confront The Reverse Flash.
As soon as Barry enters the trap room, he sees Dr. Wells trapped inside the energy barrier, while the Reverse Flash is about to drive his vibrating hand into Joe's chest.
Barry immediately runs up to him and tackles Reverse Flash away. Reverse Flash is sent flying up using his super speed. He makes a turn mid-air and manages to make contact with the wall with his feet and makes a run for it.
Barry chases him outside the lab. Running a little faster than last time, Barry grabs Reverse Flash's shoulder. In response, Reverse Flash stops, turns around, and throws a punch at Barry, trying to catch him off guard, but Barry sees it coming.
Barry moves his head to the side, dodging the punch, and throws his own, driving a speed punch into Reverse Flash's guts, hurting him, but Reverse Flash is tough; he is not going down so easily.
With the tachyon device already attached to his chest, he activates it. The device immediately bombards the Reverse Flash with an overwhelming amount of Tachyon particles, making the cells in his body start vibrating in overdrive.
Now juiced up by the overcharged device, Reverse Flash is much faster.
He throws a punch at Barry. But Barry sees it coming and dodges it. Now it's Barry's turn, but with his increased speed, Reverse Flash dodges Barry's punch and uses both his hands to push Barry away.
And at this speed, Barry's body shoots back at incredible speed, almost reaching Mach speed as he crashes into the wall.
Of course, Barry let Reverse Flash touch him. Barry, who can move faster than light, saw his hands coming from a mile away, but Barry wants Reverse Flash to get away because of what happened today.
Barry caught three Meta Humans today, and none of them seem to be in the right state of mind. His team needs Dr. Wells to rely on to figure out what's going on.
As Reverse Flash makes a run for it, Barry gives chase again. They run through the city, but Barry makes sure that Reverse Flash keeps gaining distance over him until it seems like Barry can no longer keep up.
Barry stops and watches Reverse Flash disappear.
Seeing that he left the Flash behind in his dust, Reverse Flash laughs maniacally before running back to S.T.A.R. Labs. He enters the time chamber, puts his suit and the tachyon device away, and goes back to the trap room and takes over for his hologram so that nothing seems suspicious.
Barry returns, running into the trap room and sees Joe, Eddie, and the members of the task force slowly getting back to their feet.
The Reverse Flash didn't hurt them too much.
Barry then runs up to Dr. Wells. "Dr. Wells, are you okay?" Barry asks, showing fake concern.
"I am okay, Flash, just a little bruised," Dr. Wells says.
Joe runs up to them to check on Dr. Wells.
"What about the man in yellow?" Joe asks, looking at Barry. "He got away..." Barry says.
"I am sorry... Be- Flash," Joe says. Not wanting to name Barry, as Eddie's still in the room.
Barry doesn't say anything.
