Chapter 36 - "Killing Marvin"

The scene shifted.

Liens entered the instance once more, skipping the initial procedures, and again found himself by Marvin's bed, sword in hand.

Liens stared indifferently at Marvin, who was sleeping peacefully, utterly unaware of what was about to happen.

There was no hesitation.

His left hand swiftly pulled back the quilt that almost covered Marvin's entire body, found his mark, and his right hand swung the sword.

The familiar sharp pain returned, but he endured it for now.

"Ah… ah ah"

A loud sound echoed in the confined room—Marvin's pained shriek as he felt the intense agony.

By this point, Liens had already severed Marvin's right hand with his longsword.

Marvin, who had barely been injured in his life, naturally could not withstand the excruciating pain of a severed hand.

He sat up halfway on the bed, clutching his right hand with his left, continuously emitting loud screams mixed with sobs. Tears streamed down his face, but they couldn't stop the gushing blood.
