Chapter 54 - Assessment Begins

The Instructor's declaration of death did not frighten the Trainees in front of him.

Everyone had long anticipated this.

The usual training was to the death, so how could the final assessment be simple?

Death was just a normal possibility.

Of course, the Instructor was only stating the assessment requirements; he had no intention of intimidating Liens and the others.

Therefore, compared to the death penalty the Instructor spoke of, the Trainees were more concerned about the content of the assessment—the magical beast.

Some of them had encountered magical beasts before, while others, like Liens, had never truly encountered one.

Their understanding of magical beasts came from word of mouth, and it wasn't until they received Marvin's teachings that they gained sufficient knowledge of them.
