Chapter 114 - A night out

Ian let out an exhausted breath. He looked outside the open window to see the bright glowing moon. He purposely chose to avoid dinner tonight. He was sure Pippa would be there and he honestly did not feel in the mood to deal with Iker or with his irritating mother Taryn.

Neither did he wish to be friendly with the other foreign dignitaries that arrived which his father would undeniably invite to dinner in the guise of being an hospitable king.

Ian blew out the candle he had lit. He was very sure that it would be a matter of minutes before Edward and the rest found him and dragged him out on a buck's night that he could care less about.

He could commend them at least for letting him have the entire afternoon to himself to think and clear his mind. Not because he was dreadful for tomorrow's event. Far from it, he was just disconcerted that his life was not in the stage he thought it would be in at this moment.
