She took another bite of her meal and chewed it very slowly. Ian could see clearly that she was using it as an excuse not to answer his question.
Ian gave her some few moments. She continued to chew as if she had eaten the hardest piece of meat in the world. He chuckled lightly. She was really lucky he had nothing else to do the entire day.
He would stay seated here the whole day until she answered his question.
Angelica looked away and focused on some of the plants around them. Did she want to answer his question? No, she just felt like she did not have to explain herself to him. She disliked the fact that he picked up on very little things. It was annoying.
She disliked to be asked to justify her conduct. She behaved however she felt was right.
"You do know that I am aware you heard me loud and clear," Ian said.
"Pardon," she turned to him.
"Do not play innocent and ignorant, it takes away from your beauty," he commented.
