Noah's POV

For some strange reason, Logan and Oliver being out makes me feel uneasy.

It doesn't make sense. They're just going on a short walk. Oliver's probably pointing at beetles in the dirt or tugging Logan towards every flower on the path to wherever the heck they're going. It's probably nothing dangerous— Logan will never put Oliver in danger. Still, the crawling sensation under my skin won't stop. It's like I need them in my sight to make sure they're safe. Like every second they're gone something could happen, and if I'm not there to stop it, it'll be my fault.

It's not out of the realm of possibility. After all, Rowan got shot out of nowhere. Dad got executed in our very backyard. Nathaniel could go anywhere with a few men in tactical gear.

No. Stop it.
