Chapter 183 - Food

Ji Xiulan didn't even acknowledge him, already walking toward the exit portal as if the world around him didn't exist.

Ling Yu could only sigh.

Her exhaustion was creeping back, but the emotional fatigue was worse.

Xian Yu leaned closer and whispered, "Commander… are you sure you're alright being around him? He's… not exactly gentle."

Ling Yu gave a tired smile. "Gentle? He doesn't even know what that word means. But…" Her gaze softened slightly as she watched Ji Xiulan's distant figure. "He gets things done."

As they packed and prepared to leave the dungeon, Ling Yu found herself looking around the forest one last time.

The light was brighter now, shimmering with an ethereal gold hue. The fairies danced freely, and the sound of laughter filled the air again.

It was hard to believe that just a day ago, this place had been filled with screams and shadow.

She felt something warm stir in her chest: pride, relief, and a strange sense of melancholy.
