Chapter 16 - 12 Die Stärkeren part 4

Arc2: A Torre Do Poder

The Twelve Stärkeren

Sana Vesper — Number Four of the Stärkeren, leader of the Vesper Clan, hailing from the Northern Kingdom — a vast island located beneath the continent of Gracya. A sweet and caring girl who adores animals and always looks out for others, yet for some reason, her very name strikes fear in many.

"Calm down, we're here for the same reason…" said Sana as she picked leaves from the ground beneath the tree.

"I wasn't scared, I just wasn't paying attention," replied the other voice.

From the other side of the tree, Asura noticed Sana was speaking with Samantha and decided to approach them.

"So they're calling even the useless ones to the meeting now?" Asura said coldly as she walked slowly toward Samantha.

Sana picked up on the sharpness in Asura's tone. Perhaps she was still bitter about their last fight? Asura's steady pace toward her made Sana think:

"Still holding a grudge over a loss?"

"You damn brat. I hate that smug face of yours. I want to kick you straight to the moon," Asura growled without holding back.

"As if that were even possible..."

"What did you say?!"

Samantha stood between them, observing silently. She was clearly worried — these two monsters could flatten the city in seconds if they decided to fight here. Before things escalated further, she stepped in:

"Fight somewhere else. We have more important things to do. Can't you two behave — at least for today?" she said with a forced smile, trying to keep things under control. Then, grabbing both of them by the hand, she added:

"Just come on already, for heaven's sake."

"Sam, let me finish off this damn busty freak!" Asura growled while being dragged by her right arm.

"You didn't beat me the first time. Think you'll manage now, plank?" Sana shot back, hitting Asura right in her weak spot. At that moment, Asura erupted with rage.

"When this is over, I swear I'll kill you!!"

The three of them made their way to the capital city — home of the fairies.

"You can let go now. We're not going to do anything," Asura said to Samantha.

"I'll let go of Sana. But you're staying glued to me until we reach that castle," Samantha said, unwilling to take any risks with the raging lioness beside her.

The fairies' city was located further north of the Refuge District. To enter, they had to pass through a massive silver gate bathed in golden mana.

The main street leading to the gate was still packed with people of different races, merchants, and travelers — all of whom turned their eyes toward the three women walking by. Some gazed in admiration at their beauty, others stood frozen in fear.

Asura wasn't wearing the organization's standard uniform — a long black coat with tribal patterns, whose color indicated their rank. Her face, however, was unmistakable. Sana also wasn't in uniform, instead donning her signature purple kimono embroidered with flowers. Samantha, meanwhile, wore the uniform — but hers lacked the tribal markings, an anomaly within the organization. Still, all three were easily recognized wherever they went.

"We're here…"

In front of them stood a massive silver double-door gate, coated in golden mana, over ten meters high and five wide.

"So, do we knock or yell for the host?" Sana asked sarcastically, arms crossed.

"Of course not. Have you seriously never been here before?" Samantha asked.

Sana placed a finger to her lips and looked up, thinking.

"Hmm... I don't think I have."

Samantha then extended her palm and pressed it against the gate. The moment her hand touched it, the doors began to open. A thunderous groan of metal echoed throughout the kingdom of Alta Luz.

Upon entering, they were greeted by a majestic sight: elite fairies and support fairies flitting about, tall trees lining both sides of the path, and homes built both on the ground and within the tree trunks.

Elite fairies were humanoid beings with wings similar to those of humans, and with average human height. Support fairies were the same — only much smaller, measuring just a few centimeters.

"Greetings, ladies. My name is Lain, and I'll escort you to Aoji," said a tall, muscular fairy man who appeared before them, gently taking and kissing Samantha's left hand. His silver hair and wings shimmered in the sunlight as he bowed slightly.

"Alright…" Samantha blushed — the man was undeniably handsome.

"Please follow me. We'll need to cross the city," said Lain, taking the lead.

They walked for about fifteen minutes through the city until they arrived at a bridge made of enchanted stone and magical alloys.

"We must cross this bridge and head straight to the palace," said Lain.

The palace entrance stood before them — a structure of stone wrapped in vines and moss. The three women gazed around, admiring the elven-style architecture in all its glory.

"Open the gates!" Lain shouted to the guards on the other side.

The sound of grinding iron filled the air as the two massive doors opened, revealing a vast hall beyond.

"Go on in, don't be shy," said Lain, giving them permission to enter.

"This place... is beautiful," said Samantha, eyes wide as she marveled at the architecture, the grand paintings, and the murals decorating the ceiling.

"Please follow me," said Lain once more, leading them to the left toward a towering white double-door nearly two meters high. Inside was a massive chamber with a throne at its center.

As the door opened, seated inside were:

Aoji, the elderly leader of the Organization and Grand Marshal — at the center.

Aizawa Temaki (Rank #1) — seated to the left.

Endeavor Fever (Rank #2) — seated to the right.

Emma Abrahan (Rank #6) — seated on the left.

Jay Another (Rank #8) — seated to the right.

Akane Sunderland (Rank #10) — seated on the left.

And finally, the Queen of the Fairies, Caen.

The queen stepped forward to welcome them, walking gracefully until she reached them and extended her right hand in greeting.

"Hello, and welcome. I am Caen, Queen of the Fairies and Protector of Light."
