As the sun is rising, at the Prime Kronos Facility, the operators are seen preparing the Zeus Cannon while Barnes gets his army prepared to watch the Zeus Cannon fire.
Barnes: Let's go, men! Pick it up! You don't want to miss the fireworks, do you?!
Barnes speaks to the Zeus Cannon Chief through his earpiece.
Barnes: Zeus Chief, I want that weapon ready to fire in fifteen minutes.
Sturges: It will be done, sir.
Olivia is pacing back and forth.
Olivia: Come, Shawn....where the hell are you?
Meanwhile, Kyle, Shawn, Nathan and Sarah are seen leading a group of survivors in their man made "pterodactyl" aircrafts as well as their own. Kyle looks at Shawn, Mark, Nathan and Sarah, before looking up ahead with a look of confidence. Back at the Prime Kronos Facility, Ryder prepares to give out a speech as he gives the camera operator an order.
Ryder: Turn on the TV monitors around all Zeus Corps camps. I want our boys around the world to see this.
Camera Operator: Channel open, sir.
Around many Zeus Corps camps in the wasteland, the broadcast of Ryder's speech is shown around tablets or TV's with many of the Zeus Corps Soldiers watching.
Ryder: My friends. Brothers' and sisters of Kronos Industries. For twenty-one years, we have become a broken world. A broken state. Surveillance Monitor: I'm sorry, sir, but it's just...I'm reading a whole lot of incoming coming our way...
A moment.
Ryder: excuse me, ladies and gentlemen. I'll be with you in one moment.
Ryder approaches the surveillance monitor.
Ryder: What do you mean "incoming"?
Surveillance Monitor: I mean I'm reading a whole lot of movement heading toward us.
Ryder turns to Barnes.
Ryder: Barnes, get your men ready. We've got movement coming towards us.
Barnes speaks into his earpiece.
Barnes: Men! Get ready! Titan operators; get in your Titans. Skull, you get your boys out of here.
Skull: And miss what's coming? I think we'll be staying.
Barnes: Suit yourself.
Barnes speaks to Zeus Corps Soldiers through his earpiece.
Barnes: Get ready, boys! We're about to get rid of the trash. Jackal, get your boys ready for a fight!
Ryder: Not you, Barnes...I need you up here with me.
Barnes: Yes, sir...
Jackal: Firing line!
Many Zeus Corps Soldiers, the Skinwalkers, Skull, Blood, Hammer, Chameleon and Titan Mechs line up in a firing squad in the courtyard while outside the Kronos gates, the Midtown Manhattan survivors, the Wyoming Survivors, Utah Survivors, Arizona Survivors and Colorado survivors ride towards the gate of the Prime Kronos Facility, dressed in stolen Zeus Corps Armor with war paint stating, "Rise Up!". Among them are James with Cassandra in tow, Billy, who has Ashley in tow and Walter. Kyle leads the army of pterodactyl survivors towards the Prime Kronos Facility as Kyle speaks to Shawn through his earpiece.
Kyle: Shawn! I'm going to make a hole. You follow me straight in.
Shawn: You got it, Kyle.
On the ground, Wayne shoots a grenade that destroys the gate, allowing most of the survivors to enter the courtyard. Kyle, Nathan, Shawn and Sarah swoop down as Shawn gives a defiant yell, before the four-open fire onto the Zeus Corps Snipers and Rocketeers on the roof, killing a few. The survivors in their pterodactyls open fire as Ryder and Barnes are seen watching the fight.
Barnes: All stations! Weapons free! Weapons free! Cerberus pilot! Get my dogs in the air!
Jackal: Light em up!
In the courtyard, the Zeus Corps Soldiers, Skinwalkers, Skull, Blood, Hammer, Chameleon and the Titan Mech open fire, killing a few survivors while Mark, Walter and Billy open fire, gunning down a few soldiers.
Barnes: Engage all hostiles!
The Cerberus Warship gets into the air and begins opening fire on the survivors in their pterodactyls while the Sphinx gunships engage the survivors in their pterodactyls, resulting in casualties. In the courtyard, both the firing squad and survivors are suffering casualties. Kyle swoops down in front of a Sphinx gunship and opens fire, killing the pilot and causing his lifeless corpse to drift towards another gunship, causing a crash. Kyle laughs.
Kyle: Hell yeah!
While many survivors attempt to swoop down into the Zeus Corps Cannon core, they are gunned down by their defenses and automatic turrets. Sarah manages to get in close and shoot a gunman in his head. In the courtyard, James's dirt bike is shot, knocking him and Cassandra off as well.
Walter: James! Cassandra!
Walter drives the armored vehicle in front of the two to give them cover while Billy stops his dirt bike, before he and Ashley run over to Walter, James and Cassandra.
Billy: You guys okay?!
James: Yeah, we're good! Hey!
Walter: Holy shit!
Walter notices the Zeus Cannon.
Walter: I guess that's it!
Ashley: How are we going to take that thing out?!
James: I can deploy a bug with Mr. Jax! Scramble their systems! Give them time to destroy the core!
Walter: all right! sounds like a plan! We'll go with you!
James: no! You guys draw their fire! Just buy me some time!
A moment.
Billy: Okay! go! We got you covered!
Cassandra looks at James, before the two share a kiss.
Cassandra: I love you.
James nods, before Billy and Walter provide covering fire for James, who sprints to one of the buildings, which Skull notices, drifting away from the firing line.
Ryder: Keep them fighting, Barnes!
Barnes: Sphinx fighters. Destroy all targets!
The Cerberus Warship fires its main gun, destroying many of the pterodactyl aircraft, killing many survivors. A few Sphinx gunships swoop down onto the courtyard and reign missiles on the survivors on the ground, killing a few survivors.
Cassandra: Damn it! Kyle! We're getting hammered! We can't hold out much longer!
Billy shoots down a Sphinx Gunship, causing it to crash and separating Billy and Ashley from Walter and Cassandra.
Kyle: Cassandra, do you copy?! Cassandra?!
The Cerberus Warship notices Kyle, who turns his aircraft.
Kyle: oh, shit!
Cerberus Pilot: Barnes, I've spotted Desipich!
Barnes: Blow him to pieces!
The Cerberus Warship opens fire onto Kyle, who avoids the main cannon gunfire by flying in front of the buildings. Meanwhile, Sarah and Shane are avoiding a pursuing Sphinx Gunship with both Shane and the Gunship turret man returning fire. Kyle continues to avoid the Cerberus Gunship Fire, just as Shawn swoops down and opens fire, gaining the Cerberus' attention.
Barnes: Burton....
Kowalski: Sir, I've got Burton...what are your orders?
Ryder: He made his choice...take him out...
Barnes: Take him out, Cerberus 1.
Kowalski: Yes, sir.
The Cerberus Warship opens fire on Shawn, who narrowly avoids the gunfire, with one of his wings being hit.
Shawn: Fuck!
Kowalski Sir, I have a hit!
Barnes: Then finish him off!
Kowalski: With pleasure....
Before the Cerberus Warship can finish off Shawn, Jenna, in her Sphinx Gunship now painted in war paint, swoops down and opens fire on the Cerberus Warship, giving Shawn the chance to escape.
Jenna: Sorry, I'm late.
Jenna and the Cerberus Warship have a brief standoff, before Barnes, who is watching this, gives an order.
Barnes: Take the bitch out.
The Cerberus Warship opens fire as Jenna controls her aircraft to avoid the main cannon, before she opens fire on the Cerberus Warship, killing a pilot.
Jenna: Never fuck with the luck of the Irish.
In one of the computer rooms, James bursts in and shoots the ceiling, alerting the workers in the room.
James: Everyone get the fuck out! Now!
The workers leave before Mr. Jax decloaks and approaches James.
James: Start uploading a virus to the weapon! We need time!
Mr. Jax begins to upload a virus into the computer, managing to upload a virus into the main computer of the Zeus Cannon, temporarily stopping the cannon from firing.
Sturges: What the hell?
Zeus Cannon Gunner: Sir, the cannon has some kind of virus from an unknown source! We can't fire unless it's been taken care of!
Sturges: Well, take care of it then! We need this weapon full operational!
In the control room, James talks to Mr. Jax.
James: There....good job, buddy.
Suddenly, Mr. Jax is shot by Skull, damaging the bot.
James: No!
Skull shoots at James, causing him to take cover.
Skull: Little pig...little pig....come out, little pig..
James: (quietly) Jax! Jax!
Mr. Jax beeps, conforming he is still operational.
James: Good, you're alive....decloak....I'll tell you when to take care of this chump...
Skull moves in towards James. Meanwhile, Shawn is having trouble controlling his damaged pterodactyl aircraft.
Shawn: Shit!
Kyle swoops in next to Shawn.
Kyle: Shawn! Shawn! Jump on mine!
Shawn presses the ejection button just as an attacking Sphinx Gunship attempts to shoot Shawn, who jumps out and in slow motion, catches the bottom of Kyle's pterodactyl aircraft, dangling and causing his pterodactyl aircraft to crash into the Sphinx Aircraft.
Shawn: Damn! That was close!
In the computer room, Skull closes in on James' last position. However, as Skull prepares to shoot James, he discovers he is missing, only to find the damaged Mr. Jax, which stuns Skull with a shock taser. James attacks Skull, causing his gun to slide under a desk. James punches Skull in the face, before Skull blocks and punches James in the stomach, before elbowing him. Skull then pushes James across a desk, before looking at the blood from Skull's gash on his head. Skull scoffs.
Skull: You little fucking shit.
Skull then kicks James, before punching James in the face. James punches Skull back, before Skull maneuvers the attack and grapples onto James' arm, ramming him into the wall. Meanwhile, the Cerberus Warship shoots one of Jenna's engines, causing her to spin out of control and the explosion damaging her arm. Sarah and Shane manage to shoot down their pursuer before a soldier in his Titan Mech Suit shoots them down. Before the crash, Sarah and Shane eject. Sarah manages to land on her back, but Shane is impaled by the wreckage. Sarah recovers with a wound on her temple, before she notices Shane.
Sarah: Shane!
Sarah sprints over to Shane's corpse as time slows down while she watches many fleeing survivors gunned down by the Zeus Corps Soldiers. Nathan's pterodactyl is shot down. He manages to eject but is injured by the crash. Billy and Ashley continue taking cover as Ashley knocked down by an explosion. Mark rides his motorcycle and drives up a ramp, hopping off in midair and engaging, shooting at the Zeus Corps Soldiers. Mark makes a desperate stand against the Zeus Corps Soldiers, causing a few of them to fall into the Zeus Cannon Core. However, before Mark can shoot another attacking soldier, the Zeus Corps Soldier shoots Mark in the abdomen with a shotgun, causing him to fall into the Zeus Cannon to his death. Jenna's Sphinx Aircraft spins out of control.
Jenna: I repeat! This is Freedom 1! I'm hit! I'm going in! Forgive me, Kyle. I tried, love.
James is overpowered by Skull, while Mitchell is knocked down by an explosion and Cassandra and Walter open fire on the Zeus Corps Soldiers with Cassandra being shot in the leg.
Walter: Cassandra!
The Cerberus gets a lock on Jenna's Sphinx aircraft.
Barnes: Finish her.
Jenna opens fire onto the Cerberus Warship with a defiant yell, before the Cerberus Warship fires its' main cannon, destroying Jenna and her Sphinx Aircraft in an explosion. Sarah looks around at the survivors' burning to death while Shawn is attempting to contact his allies.
Shawn: Mark! Mark, do you read? Freedom 1, do you copy? Jenna? James? Where the fuck are you guys?
Kyle: There still alive, Shawn....they're going to be okay.
In the courtyard, Walter helps the wounded Cassandra get into cover, before he takes a piece of his clothing and wraps it around the bullet wound on her leg.
Walter: Hey! This ain't over yet. Stay with me!
Cassandra: I'm not dead yet, Walter.
Nathan recovers and grabs his assault rifle, before sprinting to the battle. Meanwhile, Sturges is contacting Ryder.
Sturges: Sir, we have a problem! The Zeus' Cannon's suffering from a virus. We're working on the problem now!
Ryder: Well, hurry up! If our intruders manage to get to that core, you'll answer directly to Commander Barnes. Do you understand me, Chief Sturges?
Sturges: Yes-yes, sir.
Sturges turns to Zeus Cannon Operators.
Sturges: Hurry the fuck up with cleaning that goddamn virus!
In the courtyard, Sarah sprints to cover to avoid gunfire, before she contacts Kyle.
Sarah: Kyle! Kyle!
Kyle: Sarah, I'm here.
Sarah looks on to the Zeus Corps Soldiers executing the wounded survivors.
Kyle: Sarah.
Sarah: Shane's dead. There's a lot of em coming my way.
Kyle: Don't attack. You hear me, Sarah?
Sarah pulls out her pistol, before she checks her ammo clip.
Sarah: Shit....
Kyle: Don't attack them! Fall back now! Get the hell out of there! That's an order! You hear me?! Sarah! Run, goddamn it!
Sarah puts the clip back into her pistol, before cocking it, loading the next bullet into the chamber.
Kyle: Sarah! Don't!
Sarah prepares to open fire on the incoming Zeus Corps Soldiers and Titan Mech Armors, before Leonard in a Titan Mech Suit detects incoming hostiles.
Leonard: Hold it, hold it! I'm getting something on my radar. We have contact about 300 meters. Jackal aims his assault rifle forward, while Blood reloads.
Jackal: Get ready!
Blood: the more the fuckin merrier!
A sound of what seems to be an earthquake is heard.
Billy: what the hell is that?
Ashley: Is that us?
Suddenly, a large group of Blood Hogs lead by Rocket on motorcycles, some riding giant monster trucks ride through the walls of the Prime Kronos Facility and join the battle.
Rocket: Kill em all, boys!
Walter moves Cassandra into cover himself and Cassandra while Billy grabs Ashley and throws her behind cover.
Billy: Ashley, move!
The monster trucks, some with spiked wheels, ultimately run down the Titans Mech armor while the Zeus Corps soldiers flee as most of the soldiers are trampled. Blood shoots at the bikers, hitting few Blood Hogs, but is knocked away into the wall by a monster truck, breaking his leg while Hammer is impaled by an monster truck with tusks and Chameleon is crushed and trampled by an monster truck wheel. Leonard shoots.
Leonard: Retreat! Retreat!
An Incoming monster truck runs down Leonard's Titan armor. While on the ground, Leonard screams as the monster truck crashes onto the Titan helmet of the Titan, crushing Leonard's head as well. Jackal dodges the monster trucks and manages to get to cover.
Sarah: Kyle, the Blood Hogs have come to help us.
Kyle: What?
Multiple motorcycle engines are heard while Shawn and Kyle look back and give shocking looks as many Blood Hogs ride with their monster trucks and motorcycles into the battle. Shawn laughs.
Shawn: Thanks, Uncle Colin.
Multiple Sphinx gunships are taken down by the Blood Hogs that are armed with rocket launchers
Rocket: this is Rocket of the Blood Hogs; we're ready for Midtown Manhattan's orders.
Kyle: We're still in this fight, Shawn!
Shawn: Let's finish this!
Turret men in the Sphinx Gunships are shot down while fall out of the gunships. In the courtyard, Blood Hogs release their dogs on the chains onto the soldiers.
Blood Hog: Go get em, boy!
The Blood Hogs shoot at the Zeus Corps soldiers. Blood tries to run away, but Cassandra hits him in the jaw with her rifle, knocking him down, before Cassandra picks up a machete from a dead Zeus Corps Soldier and walks towards Blood.
Blood: Please....please...
Cassandra: For my father....
Cassandra impales Blood in the face with her machete. Jackal recovers from cover and pulls out his side arm, before Walter aims his gun at him.
Walter: I'd surrender if I were you, brother.
In the computer room, James is thrown around by Skull, who jumps onto a desk.
Skull: You're out of the debt, boy.
Suddenly, a gunship that is shot down begins to decelerate towards the computer room as James notices this, before he kicks Skull in the groin. James grabs the damaged Mr. Jax and sprints out of the room as the gunship comes crashing into the room, crushing and apparently killing Skull and knocking James out of the room. In the tower, Barnes and Ryder are seen watching their soldiers being overpowered by the Blood Hogs.
Barnes: the Blood Hogs?! They're helping!
Ryder: Your men are supposed to be tearing them apart, Barnes!
Barnes: My men can handle this, but-fuck! Fuck!
Barnes speaks to Sturges through his earpiece.
Barnes: Zeus Cannon 1, what's the status on the weapon?!
Sturges: We almost have the virus scrubbed, sir.
Kyle and Shawn fly into the Zeus Cannon core, but a Zeus Corps Soldier, before he is killed by a Blood Hog, shoots one of the wings, causing their pterodactyl to spin out of control.
Shawn: Fuck! We're hit!
Kyle: Bail out! Bail out!
Shawn: We'll fall right into the core!
Kyle: Well, unless you want to crash, find us a fucking opening!
Shawn manages to spot an opening.
Shawn: Got one!
Kyle: Ready?! Now!
Kyle and Shawn jump out of their pterodactyl aircraft before it crashes as the two manage to jump into the opening. Shawn hangs onto the edge, but losses his grip before Kyle jumps up and catches Shawn one hand and pulls him up.
Shawn: Okay, I saved you. You saved me. We're even.
Kyle: Yeah...we are...
Kyle and Shawn stand up, before the two look down into the core.
Shawn: Shit...that's the core? All the way down there?!
Kyle: yeah...we don't have time to sight see. That virus James uploaded won't last long.
Shawn: Kyle, what are we going to use to destroy this thing? The explosives we had were on the pterodactyl.
Kyle: We'll improvise!
Kyle and Shawn look inside a nearby armory and give a look of relief.
Kyle: Oh, fuck yeah.
In the control room, the control team is scrubbing James' virus, before beginning to operate the Zeus Cannon.
Sturges: Sir, the virus is scrubbed and we're powering up the cannon now!
Ryder: Tell them to hurry their asses the fuck up!
In Midtown Manhattan, Caleb is resting in the hospital as Maya holds Alexandra's hand at the church.
Maya: Mom.....
Alexandria: They'll do it...they'll stop them.
Inside the Zeus Cannon Chamber, Kyle and Shawn, who have donned Titan Mecha armor, bursts into the chamber and begin opening fire, killing the Zeus Corps Soldiers in the room as the technicians flee.
Shawn: Die!
Kyle: Everyone who's not a soldier, get the fuck out! Now! Move! OUT!! I'm not going to say it twice!
Shawn: Kyle, we gotta head to the core!
In the control room of the Zeus Cannon, Kyle's' and Shawn's' intrusion are detected.
Zeus Cannon Monitor Man: Sir, we have two intruders in Chamber B!
Sturges: Shit! Sturges speaks to Barnes through his earpiece.
Barnes: Desipich and Burton! They're headed for the core!
Ryder: Tell them to fire the fucking weapon now!
Barnes: Zeus Cannon 1, do you have eyes on the target?!
Sturges: Yes, sir. We do, locking the target.
Barnes: then blow it to hell.
In the Chamber, Kyle and Shawn manage to breach into the main core room.
Kyle: This is it! This is it!
In the control room, the Zeus Cannon operators prepare for the Zeus Cannon to fire, causing the main core to blast Kyle and Shawn back, before the two men recover.
Shawn: Shit! They're firing the cannon!
Kyle: Open fire onto the core!
Shawn: It's going to cause a big ass explosion that might kill us!
Kyle: I've lost one home to Kronos. I'm not going to lose another!
Kyle equips the mini-gun on his Titan armor, before shooting up the core, before Shawn equips his mini-gun.
Shawn: ah, fuck it!
Shawn opens fire onto the core while in the courtyard, Sarah, Walter, Cassandra, Mitchell, Nathan, James, Billy and Ashley are watching the weapon power up.
Cassandra: Oh, no!
Mitchell: What are we going to do?!
Sarah talks in her radio.
Sarah: Kyle, they're powering up the weapon! You have to do something!
Kyle's voice is breaking up in the radio.
Kyle: We're working on it!
Sarah: Kyle? Kyle, do you hear me?!
In the control room, the control men are counting down.
Zeus Cannon Operator: Weapon preparing to fire in five....four...three...two...one!
Before the Zeus cannon can fire, Kyle and Shawn finally destroy the power core, before falling onto their backs. The Zeus Cannon is powered down with Ryder and Barnes noticing.
Barnes: Sturges, what just happened?!
Sturges: I don't know, sir! The core! It's not responding. Controls are not responding!
In the core chamber, Shawn releases himself from his armor, before releasing Kyle.
Shawn: Kyle, you good?
Kyle: Yeah...
The core begins to explode, prompting Kyle and Shawn to make a desperate run through the Zeus Cannon Tunnels. The core finally overloads as Kyle and Shawn escape into the man hole, before the explosion destroys the Zeus cannon, Sturges and the crew. James, Nathan, Billy, Sarah, Ashley, Walter, Mitchell and Cassandra give shocked looks, before Sarah contacts Kyle.
Sarah: Kyle! Kyle! Shawn! Do you guys hear me?!
Kyle coughs.
Kyle: Sarah....we're okay...we're okay....the cannon's been destroyed...
Walter: They did it...they fucking did it!
James: We did it, man! We saved Midtown Manhattan!
Billy and Ashley hug in celebration, before Cassandra hugs Walter and then James. Kyle and Shawn recover.
Shawn: You did it, man.....we saved Midtown Manhattan.
Kyle: No....we did it....we destroyed the cannon...we stopped it...we gave the wasteland a chance....
Shawn: We're not done yet....now, we deal with the devil himself.
