Raula's grand living room suddenly felt oppressively small as her personal omega, Row stopped in her tracks, a stack of freshly folded linens nearly slipping from her grasp.
The Alpha stood expectantly in the center of the room, his mere presence demanding the very air to be still .
Row immediately dropped her head in a deep, respectful bow, her eyes fixed on the polished wooden floor as she approached. "My Alpha," she greeted.
"I'm here to see the Lady," he announced.
The statement was unnecessary; Row's mind had already arrived at that singular conclusion. An Alpha did not need to explain himself, yet he sometimes offered the courtesy.
"She is in the garden with the pack princess. Shall I alert her of your presence, My Alpha?" Row asked, her head remaining low.
"I'll find my way to the garden," he said. Row gave another nod.
