Why did she want to release Dorianna? The question floated about in Zephyr's head but he did not ask Selene. For some reason, asking her seemed like it would make things more complicated for him. Or perhaps it was simply his ego.
He still could not believe that Selene wanted to use her favor for Dorianna, someone who had tried to kill her. He wanted to tell Selene that havingDorianna at the solstice meant she, Selene, would be in danger, but a favor was a favor and Selene looked like someone who would die on that fact.
Besides, he wanted her to trust him when it came to bargaining, which looked like something they would soon get used to.
As he led her, walking to her room, they did so in silence while he stole glances at her. She was not paying attention to him, her gaze was straight ahead and her chin was lifted up.
It seemed she was angry with him, and he suspected it had something to do with pointing out that she was the disgust of his enemy.
