Chapter 475 - Chapter 476: Durandal: It's Real? Then I'd Be Losing Out If I Didn't Listen

When Ryn and Durandal disembarked from the aircraft, Kika and Rita immediately surrounded them.

"Welcome back, Lady Durandal, Lord Ryn. Your departure without a word certainly kept Lady Kika and me waiting for quite some time!"

The elegant maid, Rita, gave a slight bow to the two who had just landed, then stood to the side, carefully observing their expressions and clothes.

She now seriously suspected that the goose she had raised had been secretly taken away and eaten by Ryn.

"Exactly, where did you two run off to? We messaged you and got no reply, we've been waiting for you all day. If we hadn't received the message that you were bringing the aircraft back, we would have thought you went straight home!" Kika stood with her hands on her hips, pouting with puffed cheeks and stomping her feet angrily.

"Ah... um... well..."

The moment Rita and Kika approached, Durandal instantly lost the composure she had in front of Ryn, like a child who had done something wrong and was afraid of being discovered by her parents.

Her body tensed up, her fingers awkwardly scratching her cheek, her forehead beaded with sweat. Her eyes darted around, not daring to meet Rita's or Kika's gaze.

She was terrified that they would find out she had just been proposed to by Ryn, sealing a beautiful and happy promise.

"Hmm?"

Seeing Durandal's behavior, Kika and Rita both let out a questioning sound, sensing something was amiss.

"Something's not right! You two are acting very strange."

"Lady Durandal, would you be so kind as to tell Rita what happened while you two were away?"

The two of them instantly changed into detective outfits, holding magnifying glasses and transforming into Sherlock Holmes, beginning to meticulously examine Durandal and Ryn's clothes.

Every single thread was magnified, analyzed, and interpreted in their eyes as they tried to deduce what had happened during the time Ryn and Durandal were gone.

"Ahem, ahem..."

Ryn, his face betraying no emotion, coughed twice with perfect composure, drawing Kika and Rita's attention to himself.

He was creating a diversion for the cornered Durandal, who was frozen in place and sweating profusely.

"What are you coughing for? If you have something to say, just say it. Don't act like you're sick," Kika said, hands on her hips, looking at Ryn with a hint of annoyance.

That damn guy. The main wife is still here! And he just took Durandal and ran off to fool around without even a word.

Judging by their distracted, love-struck looks, their relationship must have progressed again!

Damn it, damn it, are Rita and I just part of your date, some kind of put play to spice things up?!

"Your little brain is definitely thinking some bad thoughts..." Ryn reached out and tapped the head of Kika, whose eyes were flashing with a thousand different thoughts.

"Hmph!"

Kika clutched her head and squatted on the ground, glaring furiously at Ryn.

"Alright, nothing happened. I just thought of a few things and took Durandal to Nagazora City to have a look, and told her the story of how we met and what happened afterward."

Ryn gently coaxed Kika, telling her the excuse he and Durandal had agreed upon beforehand.

Although Ryn felt that Rita probably wouldn't believe this clumsy excuse, upon further reflection, their story didn't actually contain any lies.

As expected, Rita immediately questioned Durandal with suspicion.

"Lady Durandal, is that so?"

Rita's eyes narrowed. She didn't believe for a second that this was the reason they had left without a word for so long.

Ryn glanced at Durandal, and Durandal instinctively glanced back at him.

She wasn't good at lying, but if it was just telling the truth, then there was nothing to worry about.

Durandal nodded and said with a straight face, "Yes, Ryn told me some amusing stories about Kika's childhood. Rita, would you like me to tell you them now?"

"You're not allowed to say anything!!"

The moment Kika heard Durandal was about to talk about her childhood, her headache immediately vanished. She shot up from the ground like a spring.

Like a koala, she latched onto Durandal, her hands clamped tightly over Durandal's mouth, terrified she would suddenly spill all her embarrassing secrets.

It was fine if Durandal knew; she'd probably just laugh it off. But if Rita, that perverted, damn lolicon, found out, she would definitely be blackmailed by that horrid woman with short videos into doing some horrible things.

The thought of being forced by Rita to wear a cute princess dress with adorable accessories, posing like a doll, being hugged and photographed relentlessly... a chill went down Kika's spine.

Kika's face turned pale with fear. She shouted at Durandal in a panic, "So absolutely not! Durandal, you're not allowed to say it, take it to your grave!!"

"Mmmph, mmmph—"

Durandal nodded frantically, signaling for Kika to let go. Kika was very agitated right now, and Durandal was afraid that if Kika lost control, she would become the first Valkyrie in history to be smothered to death for a joke.

Kika was about to let go, but the moment she turned and saw Rita, she clamped her hands back over Durandal's mouth.

Rita and Durandal were childhood friends who were as close as could be. For all she knew, when they were sleeping at night, the dorky Durandal would be tricked by Rita into spilling everything.

"No, I don't believe you. You have to write it down!"

Durandal, who had just managed to take a breath, was suddenly smothered again by Kika, her face turning bright red.

But she was afraid that if she resisted, she would send Kika flying and seriously injure her, so she could only hold her breath and endure.

"Alright, stop messing around... If you wait for Durandal to write it down before you let go, we'll probably be charged by Otto with the crime of 'assassinating Durandal' tomorrow, and then we'll be hunted down by Schicksal all over the world!"

Ryn grabbed Kika by the back of her collar and lifted her off Durandal. He then held the childish little fool in his arms to prevent her from getting more embarrassed and rushing over to silence Durandal for good.

"You bastard Ryn, and you! What's the big idea, telling others my embarrassing stories! How is that any different from me taking a dump in the middle of the street? I feel like digging a hole through the Earth and crawling into it right now..."

Kika's face was beet red with shame, and her little fists pounded relentlessly on Ryn's chest.

"Durandal wanted to get closer to us, so I just told her some stories from our past... It's really not a big deal. It was just about how you like sweets and were lured to Kiana's house with them... I didn't even tell the really embarrassing stories!"

Nearby, Durandal and Rita's eyes suddenly lit up, as if they had heard something incredible, and they looked at Ryn and Kika with curiosity.
