Back then, the Council of Neva tried to get involved but both didn't need their involvement. The people, the knights, and the leaders wanted war, so there was nothing the Council of Neva could do. The only reason as to why they wanted war was because of their belief. Both nations used doctrine to make their people hate each other, and their future would be doomed.
