Chapter 257 - Chapter 257

Yoruha looked at Minato, feeling nothing out of the ordinary. He had expected that meeting characters from the past would evoke some unique emotions, but surprisingly, it didn't.

Minato studied Yoruha before asking, "Why haven't I seen you among the Konoha shinobi?"

Temari felt a bit anxious, but Yoruha remained calm. She, however, wasn't as composed. After all, they had traveled from the future—if they altered this timeline, who knew if they would even exist in the future?

Sensing Temari's tension, Yoruha answered straightforwardly, "We come from the future. Originally, we were chasing a rogue ninja from the Sand Village, Mukade."

"Yoruha, you—!" Temari gasped, startled by his direct revelation. She loudly tried to stop him.

Yoruha chuckled and patted her shoulder. "Don't worry, it won't have any impact."

Minato raised an eyebrow, surprised. This time, Yamato hadn't traveled back first, meaning he had never encountered time travelers before. The two other jonin also reacted with shock.

"People from the future?" one of them repeated.

Yoruha nodded. "That's right. We traveled here through the Fourth Hokage's Dragon Vein seal."

Minato and the two jonin were stunned. "Minato will become the Fourth Hokage?"

Yoruha seemed unconcerned about affecting the timeline. His parents were just ordinary ninjas, uninvolved in any major events, so he had little to worry about.

Temari, on the other hand, was truly alarmed by his recklessness. "Yoruha, how can you say that?" she asked anxiously.

But Yoruha remained unfazed. "Relax, I have a way to fix it."

When they returned, he would simply erase Minato and the others' memories. It wouldn't be difficult for him.

Minato was surprised but quickly regained his composure. "Since you're from the future, you should know better than to affect this timeline. Otherwise, you could change many things—maybe even erase your own existence."

Temari nodded in agreement. She felt Yoruha was being far too reckless.

Yoruha remained calm. "When we go back, we'll just erase this part of the memory."

His words shocked everyone. Was erasing memories really that simple?

Temari stared at him, wondering if he had lost his mind. He wasn't this arrogant before. The truth was, Yoruha had lost interest. He had initially thought traveling to this timeline would be fascinating. But after arriving, he had instantly scanned the entire planet, understanding everything. Naturally, the novelty had worn off, and he wanted to return soon.

If not for worrying about shocking Temari too much, he would have already dealt with Mukade and left.

Minato and the others remained stunned by Yoruha's words. Was he overconfident? Could erasing memories really be that easy?

Minato narrowed his eyes. "Are you really a Konoha ninja?"

"The Hokage's Guard," Temari answered before Yoruha could speak. "Our Sunagakure sought assistance from the Leaf Village, and the Hokage sent him to support us."

Since Yoruha had already revealed their secret, there was no point in hiding it further. To ensure Minato didn't see them as enemies, Temari had no choice but to disclose Yoruha's identity.

Minato studied Yoruha carefully. "You don't seem that old, yet you're a Hokage guard?"

Yoruha remained silent.

Temari sighed, realizing she had become his spokesperson. "At first, I was skeptical too. But when we were chasing Mukade, Yoruha's abilities became clear. There's no problem with him being a Hokage guard."

Yoruha glanced at her, finding her reaction interesting.

Although she was somewhat frustrated with his actions, she still tried her best to explain on his behalf. A good girl indeed.

Temari, however, felt helpless about Yoruha's behavior. Since he was a Leaf Village guard, if anything happened to him here, she wouldn't be able to explain it to Konoha.

Of course, there was also the fact that Yoruha had saved her before.

Minato continued scrutinizing Yoruha. Meanwhile, Choza Akimichi looked at him with suspicion. "Are you really a Hokage guard? You don't quite look the part."

A Hokage guard from the Leaf Village wouldn't usually be so young—or so carefree. Yoruha seemed less like a seasoned ninja and more like an innocent novice.

Yoruha smiled. "Is Senior Choza questioning me?"

Choza was taken aback. "You know who I am?"

Yoruha nodded. "In a few decades, I'll be classmates with your son."

Temari also glanced at Choza. After noting his physique, she remarked, "He does resemble that chubby guy's build, but he hasn't shown his face. How did you know?"

She recalled seeing Choji Akimichi during the Chunin Exams.

Yoruha smirked. "I've been to his house several times and remembered his chakra. I'm a sensory-type ninja, remember?"

Temari's eyes widened in realization. "I see… but is it really okay to say that? His son hasn't even been born yet."

Yoruha shrugged. "Isn't it nice to make him happy in advance?"

Temari frowned. "But what if you influence him? What if his future child turns out different?"

Yoruha sighed. "Don't underestimate history's ability to correct itself."

Temari still wasn't sure she understood, but their conversation had left Minato and the others astonished.

From Yoruha's words, it seemed they really were from the future. But would Konoha really have such ninjas in the years to come?

Shibi Aburame, who had been standing quietly nearby, remarked to Choza, "He's your son's classmate and has visited your house. It seems your future relationship with him is quite good."

Choza frowned, still puzzled. Would he really be close to this guy in the future?

Minato had remained mostly silent, observing Yoruha's expressions. He was trying to discern whether the young ninja was telling the truth.

So far, Yoruha showed no signs of deceit. That meant he was, in fact, telling the truth.

They really were shinobi from the future.

And apparently, Yoruha would even be his guard.

Accepting this, Minato asked, "Since you're from the future, you should already know about the abilities of the person you're pursuing, correct?"

Yoruha turned to Temari.

She nodded and began explaining. "Mukade is a Jonin from Sunagakure, a puppeteer capable of controlling multiple puppets simultaneously. He may have arrived in this world years ahead of us and seems to be trying to use the power of the Ryumyaku for something world-altering."

Her expression turned serious.

"We have to stop him."
