Chapter 275 - Chapter 275

Seeing Yoruha so confident, Tsunade still reminded him,

"Moryo is a demon from another realm that came to this world. It's very powerful, so be careful."

Yoruha nodded. He understood that the so-called "other realm" wasn't another world entirely, but rather referred to beings from another planet within the Naruto universe.

Tsunade didn't say much more. She had great faith in his abilities.

Meanwhile, the ninjas of Konoha Village were heading out to various checkpoints. Moryo's undead army had begun attacking the military fortresses of the Five Great Nations. If Moryo wasn't dealt with, that army could wipe out all five nations.

Back then, if not for the priestess Miroku, Moryo would've succeeded. That's why the Land of Demons had remained untouched by the Ninja World Wars. It was the land of priestesses, and only they had the power to seal Moryo.

After his brief conversation with Tsunade, Yoruha vanished from the Hokage's office. In the next instant, he appeared within the borders of the Land of Demons.

At that moment, in the priestess's palace, assassins sent by Yomi were attacking the current priestess, Shion.

However, they were intercepted by ninja teams from the Sand, Cloud, and Stone Villages.

The Sand sent Temari (Gaara's sister) along with three chunin.

The Stone Village sent Kurotsuchi with three more.

The Cloud Village dispatched Samui's team.

Yomi's four subordinates, after replenishing their chakra, became unhinged. Their chakra surged rapidly, reaching elite jonin levels in a short time. Originally, they had only been at the chunin level.

This was one of Yomi's techniques—storing chakra within specific organisms and absorbing it later. After doing so, their strength and jutsu power skyrocketed.

Three of them held off Temari, Kurotsuchi, and Samui. The fourth quickly killed six chunin from the Sand and Stone Villages. The gap between elite jonin and chunin was that wide.

Temari and Kurotsuchi's teams were average chunin, no match for that level of power. It was like when Kakashi casually took down two chunin in the original Wave Country arc. They barely put up a fight.

Temari, Kurotsuchi, and Samui were jonin, but even they were struggling. Defeat was only a matter of time.

Meanwhile, the last of Yomi's ninja, after slaying six chunin, charged straight at Shion.

"Hahaha! Die!"

Temari and the others tried to break free to save her, but their opponents wouldn't let them. The assassin hurled several chains with kunai tied to the ends at Shion.

The palace floor was covered with the bodies of soldiers from the Land of Demons. They didn't know ninjutsu and never stood a chance.

As the chains flew at her, Shion quietly closed her eyes.

"Finally, an end to this painful life."

Due to her ability to foresee the future, Shion always knew when people close to her would die. It was a powerful ability, but it brought her constant suffering. Worse still, even though she could see the future, she couldn't change it.

Just as death seemed certain, a golden bolt of lightning struck down with a sharp crack—and the chains turned to ash.

Shion's death never came.

Slowly, she opened her eyes. A ninja in a black cloak stood in front of her. She couldn't see his face.

More strangely, she couldn't predict his future. It was the first time this had ever happened.

Whenever someone appeared in front of her, she always foresaw something. But with this man—nothing. Not even a trace. Her power of foresight had failed.

She stared in awe.

"Who is this person? Why can't I predict his future?"

Temari saw him and let out a breath of relief.

"I didn't expect Konoha to send you."

It was Yoruha.

His presence calmed Temari immediately. She was well aware of how powerful he was.

Samui and Kurotsuchi noticed his Konoha forehead protector and immediately recognized him as the ninja sent to protect Shion.

"Konoha ninja, protect the priestess! Don't let her be killed!" they shouted.

They didn't know him personally or how strong he was, but they assumed he was at least on par with them.

The ninja from the Underworld charged at Yoruha the moment they saw him. Shion's gaze stayed locked on him. The mystery of a man whose future she couldn't foresee only deepened her curiosity.

Yoruha watched the enemy close in and chose to fight as a ninja.

In a flash, he turned into golden lightning and appeared directly in front of the attacker.

"Chidori!"

With a sharp crack, golden lightning exploded from his right hand. In the next instant, it pierced through the enemy's chest.

The lightning instantly cauterized the wound.

The ninja hadn't even seen the attack coming. Despite his boosted chakra and enhanced speed, he never stood a chance.

Yoruha calmly pulled his hand back, surprisingly untouched by blood. The enemy's body fell lifeless to the ground.

Yoruha didn't spare it a glance.

He now turned to the three enemies still fighting Temari and the others. They had seen everything.

"Our leader... killed? By this guy? How?!"

Their shock was palpable. Their leader had been the strongest of the four. Before absorbing chakra, only he had reached jonin level—the others had still been chunin.

Yet, in just one move, he had been killed. The fear set in.

"What kind of monster is this guy? He actually killed the leader!"

Yoruha's gaze now fell upon the remaining three enemies.
