Welcome home
Reluctantly I turned to see who had stepped into the kitchen I silently praying in my mind that it shouldn't really be who I think it is, while trying to hide 'more like fumbling with' them because I had taken a lot of snacks from the refrigerator and there was no way I could hide them in my freaking gown that i wouldn't get caught.
The shock I got when I saw who was behind me turned quickly into embarrassment, and I could swear my cheeks were already flushed from the embarrassment.
O M G I didn't expect her to be here at this time.
'Still the foodie I see', Lucy's mum said with a grin playing on her lips, I bet she was enjoying this.
I looked down at the snacks in my arms, I held them as though I was carrying a baby and I swear I looked cringe, I was trying to come up with a lie but I knew she would see right through me because I am awful at lying, then I just greeted her not knowing what else to say.
'Good morning miss Devin'.
'Good morning dear, how was your night?', she asked cheerfully.
'It was a bit tiring but good', I said trying to put back some snacks back in the refrigerator before I get teased for eating too much as a girl again, 'is it a crime that I love eating', I asked myself.
'Lucy right?', she asked
'Yeah, she wants everything done perfectly', I said.
'She just misses her brother so much', she said.
'Yeah', I said.
'Well ma I think I should be on my way now, Lucy's waiting for me in my room', I said I had just 5 snacks with me including a soda bottle.
'Ok honey, but drop 2 bags of chips ok', she said.
'Fin', I grumpily said and dropped back the 2 bags of chips, thinking about how I was going to sneak back later for that chips.
She chuckled at my childish behavior and I walked out of the kitchen; I sighed in relief at least she let me take some, today must be a good day, I muttered as I walked the stairs up to my room ignoring all the looks I got from the servants, well they are probably wondering why a beautiful princess like me that's what Lucy says eat much more than a pregnant woman her words not mine, I would just sigh and promise not to eat much again, but I end up breaking that promise and most times if I get caught by Lucy's mum when I am at their house she would keep it a secret because if Lucy found out I will be in for a lot of lecturing like as if she is my mum.
Immediately I opened the door to my room I peeked inside to check if lucy was in there and thank God she wasn't so I went in I went to the couch and was about to enjoy my snacks when OMG speak of the devil What do you think you are doing, she asked like as if I stole something of hers.
I um…. I..t it is not what you think Lucy, I was just hungry I said I stuttered as she walked towards me and before I could hide my snacks she took them from me, I pouted like a kid who had just lost their favorite toy and stared at me, I was about to ask her to just leave one snack for me but she glared at me and I kept shut.
Then she walked to the door turned to me and said 'no one is eating till my brother arrives' and slammed the door not so hard now what was I supposed to do then suddenly the door went open and she stuck her head in and said lastly don't ruin your makeup before I could reply she closed the door and I sighed in frustration and went deeper into the couch I took out my phone and began reading a novel, not long I heard a excited shouts coming from outside it seemed like he had come, I smirked and just as expected Lucy rushed into my room and dragged me out, he is here, he has arrived, my brother is finally back after so long she kept saying all the way, without letting go of my arm, finally we get to eat I muttered.
'you are excited right', she asked cheerfully smiling like a child, seeing her right now you wouldn't believe that she was the one who yelled at me a while ago and then took my snack.
I smiled and nodded my head reluctantly all I cared about was the food and not some random Dude, of course I couldn't say that except I wanted my head chopped off by lucy.
Luckily the guest haven't arrived yet, we weren't that much and the little that had come had all rushed outside (even the staffs in the house) to see her so called brother as if he was a prince when we arrived outside we pushed passed the crowd and walked to the front, where her parents were standing all smiles I looked towards the gate and cars poured in like water I was wondering which car he could be in when lucy gasped and finally freed my poor arm and ran to hug the figure who was yet to come out of one of the car in front of us, bodyguards spared out everywhere like as if he was a freaking prince, when I was finally able to see him I gasped 'its him and OMG he his handsome!', What the heck I mentally face palmed myself why did I say that, thank god no one heard me well they couldn't because everyone was gushing about his looks and then his parents went to hug him, Lucy was so happy to see her brother that she forgot I was here.
Blah blah blah we were finally inside and he went to his room to rest for a while after greeting his parents and some he knew, later his father's party was to commence, I still haven't been able to find Lucy so I went to one of the chef who I knew to please help me with something that I was starving and she luckily agreed, I waited a bit and finally she served me a bowl of pasta, I accepted and then thanked her and hurriedly ate it in my room like a starved person, when I was done I went to the kitchen to was the dish before placing it in the right place.

The party has finally began and guest poured in like water all the big shots and wealthy business owners, arrived both big and small some men even brought their daughters, classic anyways I was just enjoying a glass of wine walking around the house when I spotted him sitting outside idling away I wondered why he was here, I proceeded to walk when I tripped on something and I braced myself for the pain I was about to feel
