The Academy had only a limited amount of information about the civilization that lived on the other side of the doorway that could only be opened with the keys.
Even that information was only learned thanks to the rare few survivors that had managed to return alive in the past.
For a world that was even more vast than their own words, the amount of that world's hierarchy that the Academy had managed to learn, was no different than a small glimpse into that world.
The history that the Academy had managed to learn wasn't even enough to fill a hundred pages in the books that were delivered to the students.
That's why, this was called a suicide mission, as well as one which decided the future equation between Chronos and the Academy.
