"Was I thrown in the middle of nowhere?"
As soon as he was tossed out of the portal, he found himself falling from the sky. He was about to use his wings to fly, but the fall wasn't deep.
He couldn't even summon his wings before he fell in a large body of water. His body sank deep before he started swimming upwards and reached the surface.
There was only one problem. As far as his eyes could see, there was no sign of land. It was as if he had fallen in the middle of an ocean, far away from any civilization.
"My luck can't be that bad, right?" He mumbled, as his body started rising in the air. Flaming wings came out of his back, which started burning the water that came in contact with them.
Despite the water, his wings burned brighter than ever as he rose higher, like an angel rising from hell. He only stopped rising when his feet were barely touching the surface of water.
