Chapter 817 - The Dispute Over "Kevin"

After Bianka jumped into Shu's room, she first gave him a nervous little bow. She looked around but didn't find any extra chairs. After standing respectfully for a second, she was pulled by Kiana to sit on Shu's bed.

"So, what's this about Kevin?" Although he already had a guess, Shu still asked in a routine manner.

"Bianka saw Kevin!" Kiana said very seriously. Shu couldn't see any hint of a joke in her eyes.

Hmm, Kiana is really serious about discussing this issue with me, not just teasing. This also meant that his identity hadn't been exposed.

Of course, this guess was likely only half right. Kiana had never seen "Kevin" in person, so it was normal for her not to recognize him. But Bianka...

Maybe if she just looked up at him one more time, she would really recognize him.

Actually, for these two, the fact that he was "Kevin" wasn't something he had to hide. It was just that Shu had reasonable doubts about their ability to keep a secret.

...Speaking of which, neither Kiana nor Bianka had a history of letting things slip, right?

Then... could he tell them?

Shu struggled with this for a moment, but still decided against coming clean.

When he had asked Otto to turn off the Mosquito's Breath, Shu had already found out that the selection was in a few days. He just needed to complete two simple tasks in these few days to participate.

In just two days, it was best not to create unnecessary trouble... He should just actively downplay the connection between himself and "Kevin."

Seeing that Shu didn't respond immediately, Kiana turned to Bianka. "Bianka, quickly explain to Shu how that Kevin appeared."

Bianka nodded. "Kevin is actually my teammate..."

Shu and Kiana listened to Bianka's account. Bianka's story was very objective, with almost no subjective elements. From the moment she had found Kevin's file to the spar on the sea last night, Bianka told them everything she could.

"Is that Kevin really that strong?" After Bianka finished her story, Kiana immediately let out a gasp she had been holding back for a long time.

"That's too exaggerated... to be able to fight on par with you, Bianka..."

"To be precise, I was suppressed the entire time," Bianka corrected Kiana. "He's really strong. Although I didn't use my full power, he's definitely more than one level stronger than me."

Without using her full power, Bianka had already done her best. But "Kevin" had been so casual, as if he could easily deal with her by just tossing out some insignificant things.

This ease came from an absolute difference in strength. Bianka had no doubt that he could take on several of her.

But... who was stronger, Senior Shu or Kevin?

It should be Senior Shu... Although "Kevin" was strong, he didn't have the same all-encompassing pressure that Shu had in the video. At least Bianka felt that "Kevin" could be defeated by several of her, while Shu could probably only be annoyed to death by an infinite number of her.

Speaking of which, it would be great if she could spar with Senior Shu...

"Shu, we have to find that Kevin! Otherwise..." Kiana wanted to find a reason why they had to find Kevin, but she repeated "otherwise" two or three times, her mind a complete blank.

"Otherwise what?" Shu said, a slight smile finally appearing on his lips as he looked at Kiana.

What reason did Kiana have to find Kevin? Was she worried that a powerful person like Kevin would cause trouble outside? Or did she think that Kevin, like in the original story, would stand against them for some unknown reason?

Shu was looking forward to Kiana's answer, because she might say something like "What if Kevin is really from the Previous Era?"

"Otherwise..." After repeating it for the third time, Kiana secretly glanced at Bianka, then closed her eyes tightly and was about to speak.

Shu's expression froze slightly. He instinctively felt that something was wrong.

"What if that Kevin is my grandfather, or some other relative?!"

"Impossible!" Shu shot up, his drowsy head suddenly becoming crystal clear.

Kiana and Bianka both flinched in fright. Bianka immediately looked away, not daring to meet his gaze. Kiana, however, stuck out her neck and charged forward again.

"Why is it impossible?" Kiana said, looking up, but her eyes were darting around. "That guy's last name is Kaslana too. He must be from the same family as me, so he must be my relative!

"Maybe he's even my long-lost brother from a different father and mother!"

"That's even more impossible!" The veins on Shu's forehead were throbbing. He was starting to see red. "Come on, you tell me, what is a brother from a different father and mother? Are you even speaking human language?!"

"But he's definitely a relative! You can't be wrong about that, right?" Kiana also jumped up from the bed and stood face to face with Shu, not backing down at all.

"He says he's a Kaslana and you just believe him?!"

"Then what other last name could Kevin have? Bai'e?"

"Have you ever thought that he might not be Kevin at all?"

"How could Bianka lie to me?!"

"What if she was lied to as well?"

"Wow! Then that Kevin is a real bad guy!! We have to find him even more!"

Shu gasped, subconsciously raising his hand to pinch the philtrum between his nose and upper lip.

His head was already groggy, and he almost fell asleep from holding his breath.

He never thought he would be caught in Kiana's logic one day!

Bianka, seeing that the two of them were both standing, also stood up anxiously.

They're not going to fight, are they?!

Bianka wanted to squeeze in between them and stop them from arguing, but... what was she supposed to do!!

"I—no, don't you know your own fam... alright, then you can't ask your... you..."

Shu's anger deflated all at once. He slumped back into the chair. "Alright... you win..."

What could he do? Ask Kiana if she knew who was in her own family? If she knew, that would be the problem... Similarly, Mr. Siegfried was probably the same...

It would be better to let Kiana ask Cecilia...

"You should just go ask Otto..." Shu, who was mentally and physically exhausted, just wanted to go back to his bed and sleep. So he decisively threw the problem to Otto.
