Chapter 250 - 250: Adepti Take on Construction Duty

"So…"

Mooncarver rolled his eyes and muttered,

"So you brought us here just to pull in some manual labor?"

"You can't seriously think you'll just sit back and enjoy the results?"

Cloud Retainer gave him a sidelong glance. Mooncarver chuckled and added enthusiastically,

"Just kidding! Go on, tell us what needs doing. Honestly, this kind of thing is pretty fun!"

The group of Adepti gathered noisily to discuss Cloud Retainer's design plans, while Xiao stood quietly to the side, listening in.

For once, he didn't have much on his plate today. The Millelith were currently focused on consolidating the remaining resources.

The nearby mines were also secure.

The real work would come later—once the plans to explore the rest of the world were underway.

It had been a long time since so many Adepti gathered to discuss something like this together.

Even though many were missing, it was still a nostalgic and heartwarming moment.

It would've been perfect if Zhongli could've joined them.

Seeing that the Adepti were now chatting excitedly and ready to take on a grand project, Ryen didn't disturb them further.

He waved a brief goodbye and took Ganyu and the others to Mondstadt's Base #1.

As soon as he opened his eyes in the new world, he was greeted by the sight of completed mob farms, iron farms, and a villager trading hall inside the base.

Ryen was momentarily speechless.

"…These are your results from the past few days?"

The Millelith and miners hadn't even entered this world yet.

So that meant…

Jean and the others had built all of this themselves?

Jean gave a soft smile and glanced at Lisa beside her.

"To be precise, these are Lisa's results. We don't fully understand how all of it works, but Lisa memorized the key designs you showed us."

"And with the notebook Ningguang provided, I just followed Lisa's instructions and built everything."

Ryen looked at Lisa with a bit of surprise.

Lisa raised her eyebrows and smirked,

"What's with that look? Don't tell me you underestimated me?"

She gave Ryen a light smack on the arm, amused.

"It's not that hard. With existing blueprints and annotations from the notebook, it wasn't difficult to figure out the mechanics."

Ryen shook his head solemnly.

"No, I'm just surprised that you weren't napping and actually did the work seriously."

Lisa rolled her eyes and ignored his teasing.

She turned and waved them forward, leading everyone toward the edge of the base.

"I also studied the redstone cannons at the Millelith base. I managed to replicate a version that fires single shots. But that massive TNT duplicator on the Jade Chamber—I have no idea how that works."

"Now that you're here, walk me through it."

With Lisa leading the way, they got a brief tour of Base #1.

Over the past few days, Jean and Lisa had clearly put in a lot of effort.

The base was starting to resemble Liyue's own outpost.

There were the same cobblestone walls and bunkers, and the same redstone-powered gates.

The only difference was the lack of housing structures—most of the space had been taken up by mob farms and iron generators.

Even so, it still felt quite spacious and empty.

Lisa truly had a sharp mind for learning and deduction.

She'd even figured out the design principles behind redstone cannons just by observing their appearance.

Unlike Ningguang and the others, who still followed Ryen's block-by-block instructions to the letter…

Lisa had started thinking for herself.

Why use this block specifically?

"Why are the redstone lines arranged this way?"

These were the kinds of questions Lisa cared about.

And after spending some time studying, she was now able to use her own understanding to create some simple redstone contraptions.

She was clearly on the path to becoming a redstone tech master.

Perhaps…

With a bit more time, Lisa might even develop a redstone masterpiece of her own—like the Orbital Dragon-Slaying Cannon?

Speaking of the Orbital Dragon-Slaying Cannon, Ryen suddenly remembered something.

He really should go hunting dragons regularly to farm more dragon eggs.

Maybe… it really was time to build that cannon.

Sure, he could kill dragons himself—there was no problem with that.

But honestly, it was a waste of time.

The End and the Nether had basically been fully explored already.

The only thing left of value was Netherite—the most important resource in the Nether—and so far, they hadn't made much progress on that front.

Once Liyue's affairs were mostly wrapped up, Ryen planned to send out large exploration teams to start farming it.

Diamond gear was great, yes—but in the end, Netherite was superior.

If you're going to wear something, wear the best!

"Ehehe~!"

Wanderer Venti, walking up ahead, suddenly turned around and looked back at Ryen with an eager expression.

"So? When are we going dragon hunting to unlock the new mod?"

"…Are you really that impatient?"

Ryen rolled his eyes.

"As expected—anything not related to your actual job instantly becomes super interesting to you."

"I love my real job too, thank you very much!"

Venti blinked innocently.

Ryen gave him a long look and muttered,

"So… you've really convinced yourself that your actual job is being a bard, huh?"

"…What else would it be?"
