"Please enjoy a glass as well, Royal Attendant. Your glass must be empty in order for it to be filled again. Why are you being so light-handed with your drink?"
At the duke's urging, Scarr laughed as he emptied his glass. The duke continued in a lively voice as he filled Scarr's cup with liquor.
"Now that you've returned to the Palace, my old heart feels light once again."
"Why are you being so good to a servant like me? I feel so ashamed that I can barely lift my head."
Seeing Scarr hang his head, the duke burst into laughter. As the duke continued to give Scarr special treatment, the other guests in the room watched them with envious eyes.
Scarr's blood was boiling, and his heart was racing. A smile stretched across his face as he felt that he'd finally returned to the past.
"I am lacking in many things. Please continue to teach me, Your Excellency."
"I believe I am the one who needs instruction from you. While we're on this topic, there is a favor I'd like to ask of you."
