"What?" Ethan froze mid-step.
He realized this old man must already know that he and Amber had boarded together.
The elder nodded slightly and gestured to his men. One of them reached out toward Ethan's chips.
Without hesitation, Ethan handed them over. The two men immediately walked out of the casino.
"Huh?"
The fat man who'd been watching expected a scene—maybe an argument or a fight—but instead, everything ended quietly, with Ethan obediently following the old man.
Curious, he trailed after them out of the casino.
The moment he stepped outside, he saw Ethan waiting for him with a grin.
"Bring him along too," Ethan said to the elder beside him.
The old man frowned but nodded. If Ethan hadn't been with Amber earlier, he wouldn't have bothered with the fat man at all.
