Elvira watched and chuckled, clearly amused.
She had no sympathy for people like Craze.
"A Nephirid bullet?
That is pointless," she said.
"Unless he finds the true core, all he will do is waste the mana powering that thing."
"You figured out how the Hydra works?" Ben asked.
Elvira nodded.
"Necromancy here is different from what you are used to.
It is not just puppeteering corpses.
It is about reconstructing essence from their remains and then using that essence to reanimate a body.
That essence acts as the core.
As long as it exists, and has mana or aether to sustain it, it cannot truly die."
"Interesting.
What about the evolution trait?" Ben asked.
Elvira raised two fingers.
"Two possibilities.
Either he has been playing around, or this Hydra is a recent acquisition and he is still adjusting to it."
