Chapter 240 - Living Armor

Inside the carriage, Brelgor's body was still recovering.

His muscles twitched now and then, but he could barely move.

"Prince, the Velmorian slave was taken away," he reported.

"That is not my problem.

It was your prize.

If you cannot protect it, that means you do not deserve it," the prince said with a chuckle.

He sounded completely uninterested in the fight outside.

He held a silver glass filled with wine and took a slow drink.

'This damned prince.

If he allowed the Velmora to stay inside the carriage, we would not have this problem,' Brelgor cursed in his mind.

If he had been in a normal state, he would have chased after them.

Now there was no way.

He had almost no strength left.

"But Prince, do you have any idea who ambushed us?" he asked.

"Who knows.

I have many enemies.

It is not the first time, and it will not be the last," the prince said. "Only if he can beat those two outside will he deserve my interest."
