The sun rose early in Elmsend.
Celina was already awake before the first rooster crowed. She sat under a tree, cross-legged, her eyes closed as she controlled her breathing. The wind danced gently through her white hair, and the sword beside her reflected the morning light. Kimmy neighed somewhere near Sir Philip's house, chewing calmly.
A few minutes later, soft footsteps echoed behind her. It was Thane.
He wore a sleeveless training shirt and held a wooden sword. His face was calm, but his eyes carried a strong sense of determination. He had returned late the previous night, exhausted and dusty from the long journey from the academy. Yet, he stood tall in front of her. He was shocked when Sir Philip told him to prepare to train with Celina. He didn't know what to expect, but here he was.
"I'm ready," he said.
Celina opened her eyes slowly, giving him a look. "We'll see about that."
The training began.
