The world spun violently.
Celina felt the air being pulled from her lungs as she fell, no, as she was thrown, through the portal. Her body stretched and twisted, light and darkness flashing around her like a storm.
She reached for something, anything, but there was nothing to grab. Just a cold void pulling her deeper.
Then, as suddenly as it began, it stopped.
She hit solid ground with a thud.
Grass. Dirt. Warm sunlight on her face.
Celina sat up quickly with a grunt, blinking against the harsh sunlight. The sky above was blue, too blue.
There wasn't any pollution. No magic threads in the air. No mana. Just open space and rolling clouds.
Beside her, Thane groaned, landing face-first in a patch of weeds.
"...Damn," he muttered, spitting grass from his mouth. "We're really in the past? I hate it already!"
Celina didn't answer. The other students were trying to get up, still annoyed with the attire they were wearing, the nobles, to be precise.
