The man shrunk back from the gaze, not wanting to suddenly be under the same sort of scrutiny. There was certainly a culture of breaking rules, but so long as it didn't cross certain bottom lines, it was usually ignored and the higher-ups looked the other way.
But clearly, this time, the rules that Savali had flouted were costing them.
Whether that was true or not had yet to be confirmed, but they were fairly certain.
"If this person isn't truly Savali, then how would they know of something she's hidden from everyone else?"
"Unless she's been captured?" the secondary figure said slowly.
The man fell into silence. He didn't know Savali intimately, but he knew about assassins who reached this level. They didn't break easily, and they certainly wouldn't break in as little time as this.
