The cafe was bustling with life as usual, Dream was dishing out orders while interacting with the customers. Feedback, he called it.
"So did he call yet?" he held my shoulder as he dropped his clipboard, the woodland elf had grown over the months, his smile brighter and eyes gleaming
"Yeah, he said he'll be here in 30"
"That's good...I'm so happy for you" he wrapped me in a tight hug,
"Hehe"
Today is the day Iun takes me to meet his parents. It took about a week for him to persuade me and it took another for me to agree. I was nervous and scared, I wore the most casual fit I could conjure out of my wardrobe.
A dark blue frill skirt coupled with a light blue blouse that Iun got for me and insisted I wear on this occasion. The blouse had an embroidery of a pink flopper with a blue fish in its mouth laying lazing on a pink moon. It was very cute! The skirt had beautiful net layers of light pastel blues
"Your boyfriend is here" Finn snorted, the aqua elf spoke like every word that came out of his mouth was bitter ale
"So is yours" I winked and nodded at Dream who was waddling into the cashier area with a sponge cake he most likely stole from the kitchen. Finn threw me a dark look before rolling his eyes, his cheeks pinking.
"Please leave before I toss you out"
"Woah, no one's tossing out my lil lady, not like you'd have the gills to"
Iun chirped as he strode into the cafe, I gawked. Not because he was my very hot boyfriend sent by Mother Nature but because he was wearing a simple floral shirt and shorts with very weird looking flip-flops.
I gave him a weird look but he only grinned back nearly blinding me in his stupid handsomeness.
"Shall we?"
He pulled me into himself, playing with the curls of my hair as we both walked out of the cafe.
"What's with the outfit?" I finally asked, tossing my bag into his car.
"We're swimming there"
"What?"
He winked and gently pushed me into the passenger seat, "care to explain?" , he nodded and began to drive
"Well 'I' am swimming"
"You said we were going to meet your parents"
"I did"
"Why do we need to swim?"
"They live underwater, Love"
I stared at him for a good while, too stunned to speak.
The car screeched to a halt. He hopped out of the car, raced to my side, opened the door and pulled me out. He seemed very eager to me meeting his parents.
He gestured to where he had brought me.
It was a beach, vast waves crashing onto the crispy sand shore,
"Here we are~"
Iun pulled me, he's being doing that a lot today, practically racing towards the water,
"Whoa whoa!" I pulled back, "my hair and everything is going to be ruined!"
"No it won't" he chuckled and peppered my face with light kisses, "just take off your shoes and trust me"
I did as he said, my feet boring into the warm sand. I shivered as they got into my toes.
"There we go."
I looked up to find him stripping, "hey! What the!"
I slapped his back repeatedly, my face red as beet.
"Ow! Ow!"
He giggled, gripped my arm and tossed me over shoulder,
"Shit! That hurt" he patted my behind and began marching towards the water
"Put me down!"
"Nuh uh"
"What do you mean 'nuh uh'?"
"Nuh uh"
"Iun!"
"Nuh uh"
He kept walking until he was waist deep in the ocean, water splashed and sprayed on my face
"Breathe My Love"
I nodded, hanging on for dear life. We remained there for about a minute or two before Iun lifted me from his shoulder cradling me in his arms like I was a little baby,
"See, it's not so scary"
"I wasn't scared!" I retorted. I wasn't. Really. I just didn't want to ruin my outfit and all the effort I put into looking good for his parents.
"Hmm" he kissed my forehead.
And dropped me.
