Chapter 162 - I want my grandson safe.

Time passed more quickly than Kael had expected. After the meeting with Lyra, he spent some time alone at the training camp, trying to clear his mind and prepare his body. He knew he would need to be at his best - not only to face his grandmother's overwhelming affection, but also to deal with everything that might soon come his way. 

The sound of firm footsteps brought him out of his thoughts. When he turned around, he saw Irelia approaching with her usual poise: confident, elegant and determined. The young woman wielded a long sword behind her back and wore a serene smile on her face, as if she was eager to get started. 

"Are you ready for our training, Kael?" she asked, smoothing her bangs back over her eyes. 

Kael smiled sideways. "Always." 

So they began the usual training they did every day.
