Chapter 48 - The Silence of Solmora

From a young age, he dedicated his entire life to following the scriptures and teachings of the Goddess Solmora. His entire family was devout followers of the church, and the day he was chosen as an acolyte for the Grand Temple of Rozan, a region south of Lysanthia, was the proudest of their lives. 

He remembered his mother's tearful embrace and his father's rare smile after he was chosen. For them, being selected as an acolyte of the Grand Temple was not just an honor; it was a blessing from the Goddess herself. They saw him not as a son leaving home, but as an offering accepted by the divine. 

Their modest living in a farming village also included spending their free time praying at the temple and participating in all the church's events. His mother's hands, chapped from the fieldwork, were always clasped in prayer. His father spoke of the Goddess's will with the same certainty as she spoke of the changing seasons. For them, their fate with the Goddess was everything.
