Chapter 1 - Death and Rebirth

On a Saturday evening in December 2026, under the darkening sky of Ordu province in Turkey, a black car was passing through the Perşembe Plateau. Inside the car were three friends: Sezayi, Taylan, and Arda. The trio had come here early in the morning to sled on the snowy slopes and hunt. They slowly moved through the snow-covered hills hoping to find game, but when they realized their efforts were in vain, they gave up. When they returned to Sezayi's grandfather's plateau house, they loaded their rifles into the car and started sledding.

Unfortunately, they lost track of time and were caught in the evening darkness. As the temperature dropped rapidly, they had forgotten the harsh winter conditions of the plateau. When Sezayi's father Sedat called to ask where they were, they decided it was time to leave.

As the car skidded on the icy road, Taylan shouted at Arda, who was behind the wheel: "Arda, watch out! We almost went off the cliff!"

Arda snapped back: "Don't yell at me! You think I'm doing this on purpose? If you think you can do better, come and drive. Otherwise, shut your mouth!"

Just as Taylan was about to respond, Sezayi, sitting in the back seat, cut in: "Enough! Damn it. You've been bickering all day, you're driving me insane."

After Sezayi's outburst, the car fell silent for a moment. Finally, Taylan broke the silence. "Arda, I panicked earlier. Sorry for what I said," he admitted.

Arda grinned and replied: "What's with the apology? Did you go all soft or something? Brothers don't hold grudges. No need to apologize."

Taylan raised his hand as if to smack Arda on the head, but stopped when Sezayi intervened again. "Guys, stop! The road is icy. If you keep messing around, we'll end up in hell soon," he warned.

As Taylan leaned back in his seat, Sezayi added: "Guys, I have news. I'm going to the army. Which means I'm finally becoming a man."

Taylan looked at him in shock. "Wait a minute, didn't you just turn 20 three months ago? When did you even apply? I haven't even applied yet."

Sezayi replied: "Dude, you're already 21. Instead of wasting time on TV shows, you should've gone to the army. That's how real men do it."

Taylan shot back: "Damn it, are you still on about my shows? It's been a month and you're still complaining. What's so bad about Game of Thrones? Weren't you the one who read the books?"

Sezayi countered: "Just because I read the books doesn't mean the show isn't garbage. Especially that awful finale. If you ask me, Fire & Blood is a much better book. Honestly, I've read so many fanfics based on the show that I've lost count."

Arda, listening to the banter from the driver's seat, chuckled. "I agree with Sezayi on this one. Fire & Blood is the author's best work, and the fanfiction is top-tier. Sometimes I even imagine what I'd do if I lived in that world. Ever thought about it?"

Taylan answered without hesitation: "What would I do? I'd go straight to Westeros, swear loyalty to the Targaryens or the Starks, and if I had a dragon, I'd marry Princess Rhaenyra and fight for the Iron Throne."

Sezayi grinned. "With ideas like that, you wouldn't last long. If I were you, I'd join the Starks, adapt to the world, then go explore Sothoryos. Maybe even try to found a colony there. If I had a dragon, I'd skip Westeros and Essos entirely and focus on building my own city in Sothoryos—populated only by pure Valyrian blood. Imagine: two centuries after the Doom of Valyria, a city of pure Valyrian descent rises. But the Targaryens wouldn't let me near their dragons. They'd probably marry me to one of their daughters and then poison me on my wedding night to steal my dragon."

Taylan and Arda nodded, appreciating Sezayi's pragmatism. Then Arda asked: "Why the Starks? If it were me, I'd go to the Vale and serve the Arryns."

Sezayi replied: "Because I'd rather deal with the North's cold than the South's backstabbing politics."

Arda was about to argue, but he accidentally pressed the gas pedal harder than intended. He hadn't realized how icy the road really was. The car began sliding uncontrollably. Arda tried to regain control, but it was too late. The vehicle veered off the road and tumbled down a steep slope. As they fell, Taylan screamed: "Arda, if we survive this, I swear I'll find the doctor who delivered you and kill him!"

But no one survived the crash.

In an endless dark void, three white figures appeared. Their faces were contorted in pain, mouths open in silent screams. One of them, Taylan, stopped writhing and realized he was no longer in pain. When he opened his eyes, he saw only darkness—and a moment later, two figures nearby: his friends Sezayi and Arda. Recognizing Arda, Taylan lunged at him in rage and punched him repeatedly.

Sezayi snapped out of his trance. When he opened his eyes and saw Taylan and Arda fighting, he was stunned. Just as he stepped forward to intervene, a red flame suddenly appeared in the void.

The three froze and stared at the flames as a voice echoed:

"Welcome, those deemed worthy of a second life. You will be reborn in the world of Ice and Fire you spoke of before your deaths. Like the others granted this chance, each of you will have three wishes. However, some wishes are forbidden: immortality, immunity to all diseases, indestructible armor, mind-reading, and summoning characters from other worlds. Be warned: the more powerful your wishes, the greater the difficulty of this world will become. The events may differ from the story you know. You may also combine your wishes."

Hearing the flame's words, the three friends froze. None of them had expected their idle car talk to become reality so quickly. After two minutes of silence, Sezayi stepped forward and spoke his wishes.

"My first wish is that all three of us are born into a dragonlord family that survived the Doom of Valyria—except for the Targaryens—and still possesses dragons. My second wish is to know how to forge Valyrian steel. My third and final wish is for 20 bags with magical extension charms, each with at least 10 cubic meters of internal space."

Sezayi's wishes clearly aimed to unite the three as a team, which surprised Taylan and Arda. They had both planned to use their wishes selfishly, but now realized they'd need to coordinate to survive the brutal world of Ice and Fire.

After Sezayi finished, Taylan jumped in. "My first wish is that all three of us speak the Common Tongue, High Valyrian, and the Old Tongue fluently. My second wish is for 200 healing potions prepared for use in the world of ice and fire. My third wish is for a recipe book containing instructions on how to make healing potions."

Finally, it was Arda's turn. Feeling the weight of his friends' stares, he spoke with determination. "My first wish is that all three of us possess archery, swordsmanship, and horsemanship skills sufficient to survive on the battlefield. My second wish is for 15 Valyrian steel swords. My third and final wish is for 500 Ottoman composite bows and 1,000 arrows."

As the last word left Arda's mouth, the red flame spoke again:

"Your wishes are granted, but a few clarifications are needed:

You will be born into House Belaegon, the seventh of the forty dragonlord families of Valyria. House Belaegon is renowned for its expertise in forging Valyrian steel. Your house words are 'Blood, Bone, and Steel.'

Each of your dragons was born with you, so they have had no previous riders. Your dragons are smaller than Vhagar but larger than Vermithor. However, they are all male and cannot lay eggs. Your family's dragon eggs were stored in Valyria and were lost in the Doom, so House Belaegon currently has no dragon eggs.

The magical bags you requested cannot hold living creatures, including dragon eggs, wyvern eggs, or anything containing life.

The number of healing potions you requested will be reduced to 100, delivered in 100ml crystal vials. The recipe book will be provided near the vials.

The combat skills you requested will not be granted instantly. Instead, they will develop over the course of one year. You will learn much faster than normal, but you will still need training to master them.

Now prepare yourselves, those deemed worthy of a second life. Your new lives begin."

As the final words echoed, the red flame vanished, and the surrounding void began to darken. After the darkness swallowed the three, the sound of three beating hearts echoed through the emptiness.
