Chapter 27 - Chapter Break

Hey guys,

Sorry, this isn't a new chapter—but don't worry, more chapters are coming soon!

I felt I needed to write this to clarify a few things about this fanfic and provide some important details you'll need to know going forward.

As you know, Shadow Slave: A Visionary's Guide is a fanfic that's connected to a bunch of other fanfics. The most obvious one is Shadow Slave: The Holy Emperor, where Keter plays an active role behind the scenes. There are, of course, others, which I'll list below.

You might have questions about how the timelines line up. Well… I don't really know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. It'll all make more sense as you keep reading. For now, you can just imagine all the fanfics happening simultaneously, even though they're all set in the present.

Confusing? Yeah, it is. We'll do our best to make it easier to follow, so you can trace the story across each fic.

Time is a tricky thing to deal with, so I apologize in advance if the "time shenanigans" are hard to follow.

If you have any questions, just drop a comment and I'll do my best to explain.

Now to the juicy part: as some of you may have guessed, more fanfics are joining our shared universe. Here's the current list:

1) A Visionary's Guide (Main Cast)

2) The Holy Emperor ( Main Cast)

3) Absolute Cinema (diverging after Viewing of Sunny's First Nightmare)

#) Shadow Slave: Error (Undecided)

Note: I have received explicit permission from the respective authors (except for the last one) to use and build upon their characters and stories.

So far, only the first three are confirmed to be part of this fan universe. I would love to reach out to the author of Shadow Slave: Error by Lukk, but I haven't been able to find their Discord. If any of you know how to contact them, please let me know.

Huge thanks to @jwrat for allowing this crossover project to happen.

Now, I want to talk about my own writing.

I'm honestly not very satisfied with the early parts of this fanfic—whether it's the writing, the structure, or the plot. To me, it rushed. The time skips can kill the mood, and I know it can get confusing at times.

When I first started writing this fic, I was just beginning to learn the craft of storytelling. I didn't know what worked and what didn't, which led to a messy start. I even considered rewriting the whole thing from the beginning, but with my current (inconsistent) update schedule, it would take me another year just to get back to the good parts.

So, I decided to keep going and improve the writing, plot, and characters as I move forward.

I've been learning how experienced authors write and picking up everything I can about storytelling.

There's still a long road ahead, and I hope you'll stick with me on this journey.

If you enjoy this story, it would mean a lot if you shared it—or offered advice on how I can improve. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you continue to enjoy this fanfic!
