With every goblin kill ,I grew more and more adept at cutting apart goblins.
As my strength increased ,severing them in half became the fastest way to kill them.
It allowed me to reach the essence stones faster too.
Since I could cover my arms in the energy and it acts as a barrier to prevent getting covered in goblin blood ,I was able to easily grab the essence stones from their severed torso's.
I had gained a total of 20 essence stones before I found what appeared to be the gate entrance.
A blue swirling portal floating a few inches off the ground ,it seems like I've finally made my way out.
According to my newly obtained memories ,Chi Yun was in a party of E-rank and D-rank hunters.
When they were exploring this E-rank gate ,an issue occurred. A mutated D-rank monster was encountered deeper inside and split up the party.
Everyone had chosen to flee separately to increase their chances of surviving the ambush.
That was what led to the previous Chi Yun to be separated from his party and picked of by a normal D-rank wolf monster.
Thankfully ,I managed to make it to the gate exit before running into any D-rank monsters.
Walking through the portal ,I was met by a sight I didn't expect. One of the other E-rank hunters made it out alive.
"Chi Yun! You made it out too!?"
Her name was Lee So-Hee. She was an E-rank Healer.
"Miss Lee ,I'm relieved to see that you also made it out safely. I managed to get to the exit after making my way through some goblins."
She sighed in relief ,at least two of the party members survived.
"We should call the Hunter's Association. We need to report the mutated D-rank inside this gate before a dungeon outbreak happens."
She nodded in response and pulled out her phone.
While she went to report the situation ,I started examining the energy contained inside my body.
The light blue energy was still pumping through my body along with my blood ,but I could tell that it was slowly affecting my body.
It felt like every cycle was nourishing my entire body. Although it was slower than killing monsters ,the improvement felt more stable.
Like repairing the cracks in a foundation ,I could feel the energy seeping into every corner of my body.
Repairing old wounds and reconstructing my muscles ,this light blue energy was filled with endless vitality.
I began to try and feel out the path it was taking through my body. Memorizing every inch of it.
After a couple more cycles ,I started trying to manually guide the energy. Making it cycle through my body faster.
My body started feeling heavy as the strain started to set in ,but I could feel it. My body was able to handle it.
The acceleration of this energy caused slight pain and discomfort ,but also grounded against my muscles.
Deconstructing them and rebuilding them back up into a stronger and more powerful state.
After half an hour ,I slowed the energy to a crawl. If I kept going ,my body wouldn't be able to handle it.
I awoke from my 'meditation' as I let the energy return to its natural vibrant pace.
I could feel the improvement ,but now my entire body is sore and my muscles are aching.
I'll probably have to wait a while before doing that again.
