Chapter 112 - Manipulation, again, but like for good reasons, trust me.

I poked my new half brother-half sister.

This was not part of the plan, what the fuck did she do?

"Hagoromo?" I asked, hoping he had some insight into... what looked like a Cursed Seal on steroids that had consumed half of Ayumu's body.

He stared at it for a few seconds longer, before looking up to me.

"I have no idea what that is." He answered my question. "I was not aware that this was possible, I wonder why she did not use this ability when we fought?"

I mean...

This did work on a similar principle as Black Zetzu's method.

"She kinda did, the dickhead that was running around revived her by overloading some fragment of her inside the Juubi with Chakra, this is a much more refined version."

"If that is the case, then why does it seem like she is dying?" He countered. "This transformation was done poorly, superficially, we can clearly see the demarcation between your human form and her flesh."

"We don't know if this was a one-time thing, the little seal thing is complicated, very complicated."

If anything, it reminded me of circuit boards from my previous world, not the bulky ones that people used for small projects, but the really complicated ones like CPUs, except all carved out of Chakra and with something that looked like flesh.

"It could be that the All-Killing Ash Bones forced her to transform faster than she would have liked." I proposed. "After all, you saw how quickly they ate through my body despite me reinforcing it."

Hagoromo hummed in contemplation.

"Then the intended purpose was a slow transformation over time?" He guessed. "What an insidious technique, she was never the type to create seals, so I wonder where she got it from?"

"Probably the Otsutsuki." I shrugged. "This is a complete transformation, including the Rinne Sharingan and all her other bullshit."

Hagoromo frowned at that.

He knew, just as I knew, that copying bloodlines like that was a Big Deal, capital B.

Especially the notoriously hard to replicate Rinnegan.

I clapped.

No point in worrying about it now.

"Enough of the problems of the Future, and let's talk about the problems of the present."

I gestured towards Kaguya's comatose form.

"This is good for us, we just have to fix her up and put a limiter on her power while she is vulnerable, and bam, plan is back on track." I grinned. "I can steal the seal thing, change up her body slightly so she still looks like herself but no longer has the full power, and then move her to Wave."

Wave was turning into a real mad-house at this point.

"Would she not notice the tampering?" Hagoromo asked me hesitantly. "We do not know what is 'supposed' to happen if the transformation goes through fully, so she might realize something is wrong."

Fair point, but that was a risk we would have to take, I preferred that Kaguya didn't know that we knew and planned this whole thing, it would be less organic of a change, and make things more complicated in the whole 'Get Kaguya to like humans' plan.

"And she would notice her changed surroundings, my mother is perceptive, even without her abilities."

That hurt my feelings deep inside.

"Buddy, besto friendo, did you forget what I am?" I asked him.

I snapped my fingers and swapped the whole chunk of forest around us with one in Wave, sans animals, invasive species were a bitch and a half.

Hagoromo looked around and huffed in amusement.

"Of course, I apologize, Oh Great One." He chuckled.

But he lapsed into silence after that, his eyes landing on Kaguya.

"Your plan is not perfect, but I hope it works out in the end." He sighed. "Thank you. For helping Saiken, for making a peaceful nation, for giving my mother a chance at redemption, and most of all, thank you for being kind."

If my god body could blush, it would.

But because it can't, no one can prove that sincere compliments make me flustered.

"Come on now." I deflected. "Enough with the emotional stuff, if you keep that up, I might start crying."

Hagoromo laughed, but it was clear that he was feeling relieved about this whole thing.

I turned back towards the unconscious Kaguya and went to work.

With her weakened and unconscious, this was... well, not easy, but easier.

Holes? Gone.

Ayumu's flesh? Converted.

Weird seal? Yoinked.

It took a few minutes, but soon enough, there was a fully fledged Kaguya laying on the forest floor.

Except now, she didn't have access to 98% of her Chakra, most of her bloodlines had not been recreated in her new body, the ones that were there had been weakened, so she still had a Sharingan and a pair of Byakugan, also the bone thing, but they weren't even close to what they had been.

She was left a pretty strong Jōnin, no more.

While she had raw strength in spades, any S-Ranked Ninja could probably beat her now with minimal injuries.

I would keep an eye on her, and if she ever decided to stop being evil, I could consider giving her the seal back, until then...

"See ya, Hagoromo, I'm done here." I told him. "Take care."

He waved goodbye as I teleported away, leaving Hagoromo to watch over his mother.

2 DAYS LATER

Isobu walked slowly through the Capital, he had decided he hated walking on two legs.

The damn things were way too shaky!

How did humans stand this?

More than that, how did Shinobi do fancy flips and jumps like this?

If he walked fast, he felt like he would fall over, never mind running or jumping.

But his journey was almost over.

He looked at the map in his hands one more time, trying to match what it said to the buildings around him.

Then he turned to the right.

There! Finally!

He finally made it.

In front of him was a building with taped up windows and a broken door, there was no sign or anything like that, but the red X marked on the map was clear enough.

He approached and pushed open the door, causing a small bell to chime.

And inside were two people, one was a white-haired kid, wearing a simple outfit, light colors and practical.

But what drew Isobu's eyes was the shirtless teen sitting on a table in the middle of the room.

Because growing from his back was a pair of giant scaled wings, upon hearing the bell, the teen opened his eyes, revealing something Isobu would be much happier if he had never seen.

A pair of Mangekyō Sharingan stared back at him.

He tensed, preparing to return to his true form and fight.

"I'm sorry sir, but we are currently closed, please come back in 2 hours." The kid behind the counter said.

That made Isobu stop, and he slowly looked over to the kid, who was smiling kindly at him.

He recognized that voice.

"Saiken?" He asked hesitantly.

The kid froze, a look of confusion flashing over his face, before turning into realization.

"Isobu?" He responded in turn.

That confirmed it.

Isobu stalked forward, feeling frustration rise.

"Saiken, I have had a very bad couple of decades, so you better explain what the fuck is going on." He demanded as he approached the counter.

And then he tripped.

His body slammed against the wooden floor with a loud bang, and there was silence as everyone looked at him.

"DAMN IT!" He shouted. "HOW DO YOU KEEP YOUR BALANCE WITH THESE STUPID LIMBS?!"

He turned onto his back, glaring up at the ceiling.

Saiken laughed, causing Isobu to glare at him instead.

"It's not funny!" He told him. "These stupid limbs are unstable! Too long and narrow, and they bend in 3 different spots, how am I supposed to keep track of that?!"

Saiken only laughed harder.

The Uchiha in the room snorted in amusement, prompting Isobu to glare at him instead.

He was ignored as the Uchiha closed his eyes again and went back to what he was doing prior, which seemed to be meditation.

"Just trust your senses, it takes some getting used to, but you should get the hang of it eventually." Saiken said between laughs. "You have all the instincts you need, don't think about it too much."

Isobu sighed in annoyance.

"You say that like it's easy." He complained, finally climbing back to his feet. "Now explain."

"Sure thing, come with me." Saiken told him. "We can talk in the kitchen, it's empty right now."

Isobu nodded, and followed after Saiken.

He really hoped he had some answers.
