Chapter 347 - Does the Santiagos' family have a granddaughter elsewhere?

Looking at the scene playing out before her, Vera's chest tightened, her breath hitched as her hands trembled with both embarrassment and bitterness.

She felt ridiculous; she had been the one who nearly had her teeth out of her mouth if not for the quick intervention of the guard standing nearby, yet another is being checked for harm.

It seems that in this life, she would always be a worthless piece of trash.

After he had made sure Jessica was fine, he slowly turned to face Vera. His gaze was icy cold, with no emotion on his face. It was as though he had never seen or known her before.

To put it mildly, she is just a stranger to him.

Looking at that expression, Vera clenched her fist subtly by her sides as she braced herself for Davis' words, which she knew no doubt would stab her heart, leaving only pain and pain in its wake.

Just as she expected, Davis' voice rumbled through the pin-drop silence. "Vera, to hurt her? could you really afford it?" he asked.
