Adam's face twisted in disgust. "Stop it. Leave before I call security."
Jean pouted and tried to touch his arm again, but this time Adam's face went cold. So cold that it made the air around him feel heavy.
"If you try that again," he said in a low, dangerous voice, "I'll slap you. Don't think I won't."
Jean froze, her smile fading.
But then she puffed up her chest like she wasn't scared. "You wouldn't dare. If you do, I'll tell Mary about how you abused me!"
Before Adam could reply, a voice cut through the air.
"Don't worry, even if Mom knows, she won't take action against Father," Olivia said, stepping out of the car. Her voice was steady and full of fire. "Because I already know what you are trying to do."
Jean turned her head sharply and saw Olivia standing just a few feet away, staring straight at her.
Jean's face turned pale.
Olivia calmly said, "Jean, you are truly shameless."
Her voice was steady but cold, like ice.
