"I must say, I am very much impressed." Miss Dawn smiled.
Lucas clenched his fists, excitement rising in his chest. Hearing such praise from Ms. Dawn herself was more than he had ever hoped for.
However, her next words came in a much sterner voice. "There are certain things that need to be changed."
Lucas immediately tensed. His eyes locked onto hers as he responded carefully,
"As long as these changes are within my capacity, I will definitely make sure to change them."
What he really meant was that he wasn't ready to completely rewrite his proposal, nor was he willing to let Ms. Dawn take full control of his business.
He wanted to maintain his own vision. Yet he couldn't say that directly. He had to sound cooperative.
