A flicker of admiration rose in his eyes.

Spencer's smile softened. "You came to see me, didn't you?"
Aurora nodded and stepped closer to the bed.
Sitting on the edge, she reached out and gently pressed her palm to his forehead.
The warmth beneath her hand made her pause.
Her eyes narrowed slightly in concern. "You still have a fever?" she asked quietly.
Spencer gave a faint smile. "It is much better now. I will recover soon, perhaps in a week."
Aurora did not smile back.
She looked at him with troubled eyes but said nothing for a long moment.
