"We started receiving them from the moment Adam's true identity was disclosed."
Aurora nodded and began reading.
The first letter described the possible consequences of Adam entering the family.
It warned that he would be mistreated, that his presence would bring trouble, and that his family could eventually be placed in danger because of his actions.
Aurora's eyes narrowed slightly as she continued reading.
The second letter was considerably different. It mostly praised Adam for his nobility, particularly for refusing to return to the wealthy family that had once been connected to him.
The sender described his decision as admirable while subtly making it clear that they knew far more about Adam's circumstances than an ordinary outsider should have known.
Finally, Aurora opened the third letter.
Her expression gradually hardened as she read it.
The letter stated that by taking action against Theo, Adam had harmed the interests of the person who had sent the messages.
